No Clothes for Our Tears

And we were naked,
skin to skin in separate chairs,
separate beds.
We looked at each other from within.
We saw the light.

And we were crying from atop a garage,
the roof overhead became the stars,
and it's time you knew
I've seen your eyes reflected in them before.

All this hate within domination,
maybe we can both enjoy a vacation upon
this dingy building you call home.

Never did you once see my soul like this before.
Never did I see an imagination like mine soar.

And we were naked,
you were across the world.
We never touched, but oh!
The stars soared.
