So uh, surprise!!

I'm not sure if there is many of you guys still invested in my little fan fiction, but I have decided to finally return and give this a proper ending! Really, it only needs one chapter to finish off this beautiful work, so that is what I will be giving it. So without further delay, I introduce to you the end!!

—————————————

Morning couldn't come any quicker as Kageyama laid awake. He was the first to rise out of bed, and was already dressed before the team groggily shook off their sleep. Kageyama fiddled slightly as he waited for the rest to wake up, impatient to see Hinata. Daichi approached him as he groggily wiped his eye, yawning from his own lack of sleep.

"Kageyama, I think it's best if you go to the hospital first. We don't want to overwhelm Hinata. Plus, he will probably appreciate the alone time with you." Daichi said as he playfully pushed Kageyama's arm.

Kageyama blushed for a moment as he realized Daichi knew as well. Either Sugawara told him or Kageyama was being too noticeable in his feelings. Kageyama realized it was probably the later as he all but pranced in front of the door in impatience. He nodded in agreement, excitement already boiling at the thought of seeing Hinata.

Sugawara also approached the two as he patted Kageyama's arm. "The rest of us will join you once we are finished getting ready. Tell Hinata that we will be their as soon as possible!"

Kageyama nodded before impatiently gathering his stuff, heading down the stairs that led out of Ennoshita's apartment two steps at a time. He took the subway since he didn't have his own car with him. He had taken the ambulance to the hospital and Sugawara's car to Ennoshita's, so his own vehicle had been left at the apartment.

Kageyama felt sick just thinking about the apartment, and knew that he would be selling it very soon. Maybe a beautiful house in a nice suburb area would be better for him and Hinata. Or maybe if Hinata preferred they could get one near the beach. Kageyama didn't care how much it cost, as long as Hinata wanted it he would get it. Hinata's happiness was his own.

Kageyama's foot tapped impatiently on the subway cart's floor as they neared the hospital, and he all but ran out through the doors as they opened. The thoughts in his head travelled in an incredible speed as he approached the room Hinata was staying in, yet every single one was lost as he came into sight of the gorgeous man he called his love.

The rays of sunlight framed his orange hair and sculpted face. An angelic halo seemed to appear over his head, though that also could have been Kageyama's imagination. Hinata was upright as he looked out the hospital window. The cities scenery showed down below, bids flying across the window. Kageyama faltered at the angelic sight, but smiled as he walked up the the bed.

Hinata took notice of him and smiled as well, tears filling his eyes as he reached out with longing arms. He wrapped his arms around Kageyama's waist as he buried his face into his shirt. Kageyama returned the hug as he made sure to avoid touching Hinata's injured and bandaged neck.

Kageyama's breath quickened and he remembered the words Sugawara had shared to him, to not take it too fast. Kageyama abided by those words, contempt to simply be by Hinata's side. Though Hinata's next words through him for a loop.

"I love you Tobio." He said with tears in his eyes.

Kageyama's throat was caught up, and tears started to stream as he grasped onto Hinata.

"I love you too, Hinata." Kageyama returned in a muffled and sniffled voice.

They held each other for a while before finally pulling back, both admiring the other as they gazed warm heartedly. Kageyama rubbed Hinata's hand as he smiled.

"The others are coming soon. They all miss you."

"I miss them too." Hinata said in response, smiling as he leaned onto Kageyama's shoulder.

"Hinata," Kageyama began, "Once you get discharged... let's move away from the apartment. I don't care where we go, I just want to be with you. A house on a beach, or in a snowy area, the mountains, the city, whatever you want. " Kageyama really wanted to propose as well, but felt like he wanted to do it properly. He would need to get a ring, and plan out a nice trip for the two. Of course he will do this in proper time, once he knew Hinata was ready. By the looks of how Hinata was recovering Kageyama felt extremely happy to feel like he could probably propose soon.

Hinata blushed at Kageyama's words as he nodded in agreement, feeling giddy in excitement. They settled into a blissful peace before Hinata cleared his voice. Kageyama warned him not to over use his voice as Hinata sat up, expressing that this was something he wanted to say.

"The doctors said that the scar on my neck was going to be permanent. So I was thinking... what if I got a tattoo there?" Hinata said.

Kageyama's eyes flickered with surprised before he studied Hinata's neck. "Wow, I never imagined you with tattoos, but now that I think about it... damn that would be sexy." He responded, his voice deeper as it filled with lust.

Hinata blushed in response and slapped Kageyama's arm, chuckling as he leaned back onto Kageyama.

"So what are you thinking of getting as a tattoo?" Kageyama asked as he rubbed his poor injured arm.

"Hmm... I don't know, maybe a bird or two. What about the words "Fly To Freedom?" Hinata asked.

Kageyama leaned his face down to Hinata and planted a warm kiss across his lips. "Anything you want is perfect baby, but love that idea." He hummed in response.

"Then "Fly To Freedom" it is."

THE END

I only wrote up to here because the rest is just mushy mushy as he sees his team and moves into a nice and cozy home with Kageyama. I have decided that I won't write it, HOWEVER, if my lovely readers so desire it, then make a special request and I will make a short story over the topic they choose.

It can be anything, such as Kageyama and Hinata's new home or a look into a side couple. If I missed anything in the story I can also do a side chapter for that as well, so just leave a comment here!

I'm doing this for my special readers who stuck it out two years, I guess maybe this is my way of giving back to you guys. As I am quite guilty over the no ending for two years... 😢

Again, thank you all for making this such a successful book. I dearly love you all, and maybe, one day, I'll make something else. Until then, Sayonara!
