When Hinata finally thought that he didn’t look like he hadn’t just balled his eyes out he walked out of the bathroom and towards the room with Sugawara in tow behind him. When he walked into the room, he found it to be empty except for Kageyama, Daichi, Tsukishima, and Yamaguchi.

“You look like you just balled your eyes out.” Tsukishima said. Hinata turned and glared at him but stopped when he saw what looked like… concern written on his face. He shivered at the thought of Tsukishima being concerned for him.

“Stop making that face, you’re creeping me out.” Hinata replied.

Tsukishima’s face fell into a scowl as the people in the room covered their faces to hide the smiles and giggles trying to escape them. Even Yamaguchi had his face twitching into a smile which he tried to hide behind a cough.

“Where’s everyone else?” Hinata asked. Daichi once again explained the situation, adding the part about how Tanaka had passed out drunk. Narita and Kinoshita had offered to carry him home and left shortly before Hinata had come back.

Hinata nodded showing Daichi that he understood and looked towards Kageyama. “Did you … tell them Kageyama?”

Kageyama nodded and looked towards Daichi. “Daichi and Suga have a car. They are going to drive us to get your stuff.”

Hinata replied with an okay and looked towards Daichi who was talking to the waiter and settling the bill. Everyone had paid their share of the bill to Daichi before ordering to make it easier in the end since they knew some of us would end up like a drunk mess. After he was done, they left the room and made their way out towards his car. They went to climb in when, to Hinata’s surprise, Tsukishima had sat in the back as well.

“You’re going!?”

The tall boy looked up at Hinata from his position in the car and scowled. “Obviously, what does it look like I’m doing?”

“Well, I mean, why?”

“Because I want to. Now just get in.”

Yamaguchi waved them a good-bye and walked towards his own car. Tsukishima had told him to go on without him to an apartment they shared with two other roommates. Yamaguchi had tried to come but Tsukishima reasoned that having to many people would probably be confusing and it wasn’t like Yamaguchi could do anything if he came. It sounded harsh (it always does coming from Tsukishima) but it was true, so Yamaguchi had agreed to go on ahead home.

In the back was Kageyama behind the passenger’s seat, Tsukishima behind the driver’s seat, and Hinata in the middle. Daichi was driving and Suga had taken the passenger’s seat. It only took them about 10 minutes to drive to Hinata’s apartment and find a parking space. Now they were on the elevator and Hinata found himself highly unprepared for the confrontation he was about to have to go through.

He tried to take a few deep breaths and felt a hand laid on his shoulder. He turned expecting Suga to be comforting him again when he saw Kageyama’s deep blue eyes looking at him. He tried to smile but failed terribly, yet somehow, it still helped calm Hinata’s nerves. Hinata gave him a REAL smile back and faced forward as he heard the elevator ding, telling them that they had arrived on the 7th floor.

He walked out with the other’s following him and was about a door down from his apartment door when it swung open. The door had opened out and blocked their view, but they watched as an attractive man walked out, said something over his shoulder, then walked past them towards the elevator. Hinata stepped out in front of the opened door, the other’s still hidden from sight, and glared at Kutabare who was now standing there with only sweatpants on. He could see his disheveled hair and the tons of hickeys running down his skin.

“I thought we agreed that you wouldn’t let your side hoes into the apartment.”

Kutabare let out a bark of laughter and calmly met Hinata’s gaze. “That would mean you wouldn’t be allowed in as well, doesn’t it?”

Hinata clenched his fist and went to say something when Daichi stepped into the doorway and put a calm hand on his shoulders. “We’re here to get Hinata’s things. Please step aside and stay out of the way.”

Kutabare’s eyes widened in surprise and he looked at Hinata. “Having people fight your battles for you? How pathetic.”

Hinata pushed past him and into the apartment, throwing his reply over his shoulder. “Not as pathetic as a man who can’t even stay loyal to one person.”

Kutabare clenched his teeth and shook from anger as he was forced to step aside to let the other four inside. He felt them glare and study him as they entered, and it was starting to annoy the hell out of him being forced out of the way like this.

Kageyama looked Kutabare up and down, taking in the hickeys. He had heard what Hinata had said before and realized that Kutabare’s ‘cheating’ must happen a lot. It annoyed him on the fact that he had Hinata, yet he still went and cheated. Even more so that Kutabare actually thought that he had the right to keep Hinata.

Hinata started to gather all his things while Suga helped him, the other three staying in the living area to watch Kutabare who was now sitting comfortably on the couch like he didn’t have a single worry in the world.

“So,” he said as he casually propped his legs up on the coffee table in front of the couch. “You guys are his teammates from high school, right?”

Before they arrived, they had all agreed on Daichi being the one to answer anything Kutabare said. They knew he was going to say whatever he could to provoke them and Daichi was the most levelheaded out of the three.

“Yes, we are.” Daichi said simply.
