"So now, we're pulling up to homeboy's workplace to get the receipt back."
"Should I meet you guys there?"
Adriana's eyes scoured for the familiar red lace panties along the marble floors, her breath heaving with exhaustion. Her legs slightly trembled as she walked along the office, her hand gripping the glass desk. She could feel Rio's condescending gaze following her, as she leaned against the desk, waiting for Ruby's response.
"Yeah, whenever you can. Bye." "Kay, bye."
The office was silent, the only sound being the sound of Rio's jacket being zipped up. She glanced back at him, only to find him already staring at her. His lips twisted into a smirk, his gaze trailing down her body.
"Got a problem on your hands, huh?"
She only shrugged. "We'll figure it out." The room fell into silence, as she gave up on finding her panties and opted to go commando instead.

"Oh, hi, um..."
Annie stammered, catching the attention of the nearest employee. A kind man, with fluffy brown hair and a matching beard, turned his attention to the four girls. Adriana could tell he was a kind soul, a smile sweeter than candy.
She shifted in her spot, feeling a bit uncomfortable with the lack of undergarments under her thin dress. But there were other, more important things to deal with, like finding Brian, Brandon, or whatever the man was who Annie slept with. She couldn't blame the girl, she knew Annie was going through a tough time, but it didn't stop the annoyance simmering beneath her skin.
"I am looking for a Brian, or a, uh, Brad or a Brendan in electronics?"
"Brian. He's not here today."
As Annie struggled to recall the name of her one-night stand, the employee maintained a kind and patient demeanor. She then proceeded to ask for his address, fully aware that he would likely decline her request.
"Sorry, we can't give that out."
"I really need it, it's extremely important to me."
Annie stressed, hoping for the tiniest bit of sympathy from the employee who seemed not to be budging. Realizing that they would probably not find the answers, Adriana's eyes scanned the store for anything that could help them get the receipt back from the man. She could tell Beth was doing the same before their eyes landed on the same thing; another employee across the room, seemingly the manager. She grabbed a clipboard from the surface next to them and handed it to Beth.
"Follow my lead, yeah?"
"You got it."
Beth nodded, handing off her purse to Ruby as Annie turned away from the futile conversation with the employee, bringing her attention to the two women with the seemingly better plan. Adriana smoothed down her dress, and adjusted the strap of her purse on her shoulder. Looking at Beth one last time, they started towards the clueless manager, confidence oozing from their figure.
