3rd person POV:
Maybe it was the dizzying smell of fresh air and of dew, rendering Z defenseless under multitudes of lightyears and bright gases of fire. Or maybe it was the beams of light that careened through tin roofs and curved shadows, gleaming T under the brilliant luster of silvery gold, flitting through the night and casting a soft glow around him.
The festival lights always were lit too strong, and this year was no different. They flickered and blazed frustratingly, that even the strong current of white snow that swarmed all around them couldn't dull it, couldn't dull the warmth Z felt, fingers slightly brushing T's as they walked around, T exclaiming and buzzing like a little kid. T had a big dopey smile on his face as he dragged Z around, pointing at the various masks and stalls he found interesting, and generally making loud noises of delight. His face would light up everytime, which Z had to admit was a bit adorable.
Even now, T was talking, as he always did. He never shuts up, and Z laughed aloud at the thought. T turned, his face turning into a bemused half-smile.
"Why did you laugh... I was just talking about the time I got my wallet stolen...you're heartless, Z," he muttered under his breath, mouth forming into a pout.
Adorable, Z thought, adorable idoit. T's nose was scrunched up, and Z placed a gentle hand on his cheek, watching as T slowly bloomed into a vivid cherry red.
"I was just thinking you looked adorable under the moonlight, T. Sorry I wasn't listening."
T sputtered, the rest of his jabs dying in his throat as Z gave him a pleasant smile. "Th-that doesn't explain why you weren't listening to my amazing storytelling! You were supposed to comfort me!"
At this Z flicked him on the forehead, hard, and T rubbed his forehead, about to complain again.
"You're so mean to me, Z-"
Lips as gentle as the soft sheen of starlight. Lips that cut off all other thoughts, T shut up as Z leaned into the kiss. T ran his fingers through Z's hair.
"You're so warm, T," Z whispered against his lips as they pulled apart, wrapping both his arms to embrace him, and T blushed further, hiding his face in Z's shoulder.
"Merry Christmas, Z."
T kissed him again, fingers fluttering and eyes aglow as he grinned at Z, wrapping his fingers into Z's scarf and pulling him closer. Green and red carols surrounded both of them, and Z realized there was also a mistletoe hanging above.
"Merry Christmas, T."
Maybe it was just Aaron T, who looked like a God under the cool glow of the stars. Or maybe it was just his feelings for T, after all.
