"I hope things went well between you two." Gon said. Killua swung their hands together and lifted his gaze from the wet grass to his mate.

"Yes? Oh, yeah. I just wonder how you are suddenly okay with us being together alone… in a den, yanno?" Gon chuckled. His hand tightened on Killua's and he tugged him further into the distance.

"That's because I have trust in my mate, and I'm sure Ray wouldn't do a thing." Gon walked and let Killua swing their hands back and forth again. He looked at the grey alarming sky, tightening his hand on Killua protectively.

"But you know? I had feelings for Ray."

"Do you still have them now?" Killua stopped swinging their hands and looked at Gon for a second. He looked at Gon's eyes, down to his nose, and lips (?) He interpreted him for a while before lifting his eyes to the smoky sky.

"Moving on is not easy, Gon, but I can guarantee that I'm developing something for you. Something so grand that I barely think of Ray as I did before. It keeps my mind busy."

Suddenly, Gon tugged him closer. Killua bumped into his chest and put his hand to separate them. Then, Gon murmured in his ear, "Great. I wanna know when he stops being a thing to you."

"Alright, alright. You don't have to act strong and upset on me, Mr. Alpha." Killua stumbled back to put some space and they continued walking.

The sudden closeness incited the adrenaline in his heart. He was breathing normally, but his cheeks flared and his heart drummed musically in his chest for a while. What if his hand got sweaty?

He snuck a look at Gon, but he didn't seem to notice or even matter, so he decided to roll with it.

"So, where are we going now?" Killua asked, "It seems like it's gonna rain."

"Right. We can go home, or meet a few pack members. I'll give you the choice, but before that, you have to know that pack members will be soothed and excited if they see us being there for them."

"Then, let's meet them." Gon smiled and eyed Killua from the corners of his eyes. That glacial look is a thing of many things about Gon that he couldn't identify. One thing only, it means he's happy. "In case it rained, we can stay at someone's den until it's clear for us to go back."

"Or we can run in the rain!" Killua cheered.

"No…"

"Why not!" Gon shook his head and tugged Killua's hand to a thick part of the woods.

They walked past the vast area Killua once saw them all gathered to train. Instead, Gon took him deeper into the woods.

After a few minutes of digging into the soil, Killua noticed a few bumpy rocks splattered all around. It would be hard to spot some of them as well. "Dens?"

"Yep!" Gon cheered and dragged his mate deeper into the perimeter, "Let's split. You go check on the left area when I check on the right." Killua looked at his empty hand and then at Gon's.

He's not ready to roam the woods alone. He sucked on-air and nodded his head before turning and walking towards the first entrance he spotted. Should he really go into it alone?

He looked behind to meet Gon's gaze, but Gon was nowhere to be seen. He's fast.

Killua looked at the dark entrance again, clutching the sleeves with his fingers. He huffed and inhaled, hugging himself and staring at the darkness of the den. Who's in there anyway?
