The sound of growls surrounded him. They trapped him in a circle, so he looked around the dull bushes and trees to spot them, but none of them had any presence.

Before him, stood a thick trunk, very thick that it could hold a mini house. His gaze lifted upward to find the treehouse hung over a branch, calling.

Despite all the creeping growls and the screaming danger, he stood solid and stared at the flexible hanging ladder. He has to climb up before it is too late!

"Hhhh!" Killua breathed harshly. His lungs burned as if he was drowning all over again. He writhed in his bed until he caught his breath.

He looked around the familiar room. He panted and fought for stillness and peace. He rubbed his head while taking a long breath. "Gon?" The sun was up, but it was chilly. And Gon was nowhere to be seen. He yawned and flipped around in bed until he decided to look up for his mate.

After freshening up and getting ready for the day, Killua got out to the living room. He saw Mito and Ging are already at the table with a breakfast spread on the coffee table. Both of them sat on the floor cushions and turned to him. "Morning! Join us!" Mito said and Killua politely nodded.

Once he joined them, he felt Ging's stares piercing through him. He tried to ignore him just like Gon instructed him to do, but it started to tire him out.

They ate in silence if you exclude Ging's loud munching and grunting. The peace, however, didn't last long. How would it be when both Killua and Ging are at the same place?

Ging snorted so closely to Killua. The youngster flinched and eyed him warily, "Mates are complicated, eh?"

Killua ignored, but that gave Ging enough space to continue, "You'd be having a family that you always loved and protected, then comes someone you love dearly that makes you forget what's really important, forgets such an important thing that you endanger the lives of your whole family for a single stranger." He was talking to himself, but it was clear as daylight that he was attacking Killua.

"Lunas, on the other hand, are supposed to be submissive, to obey their elders, to listen to their superiors, to back up and check on the members even if that costs them their lives. I've never believed there were Lunas who flunk so hard and think selfishly about things." He gruffly said.

Killua rolled the content in his mouth and tried to ignore it and be patient. "Oh, no. I actually believe there is! Ah, but that shouldn't last because there is a thing called taming." He seethed closer to Killua's face. Killua's eyebrows twitched.

"Thanks, Auntie. The food was great, but I'm full." Killua forced a smile before standing up. He twirled and walked back to their room upon hearing a frustrated sigh coming from Mito.

It still pisses him off, the way Ging talks to him. Yes, he's not the best Luna around the world? Because he is still learning! That old geezer should be grateful that Killua decided to accept them anyway!

He huffed and aggressively washed his hands, glaring at the crystal clear water. If it weren't for his need for Gon, and for what he's feeling when Gon is around, he'd already be back home!

He did complain a lot about Ging to Gon. Ging seizes every chance he gets to annoy him and brings up taming.

It happens every time whenever Gon is not around.

Gon reassured him. He told him not to worry about his dad. He's still pissy about endangering the pack, but Killua is one of them too and everyone knows that, even his dad.
