Bdubs happily hummed as he brushed his teeth, Doc standing behind him brushing his hair for him. The hybrid brushed his tufts of hair back into a ponytail which he carefully tied. Once Bdubs was done with his teeth, he was kissed on the cheek before leaving the bathroom. He threw on a baggy shirt and sweats before jumping straight into his chores for the day.

Armed with a feather duster, he started in the living room. As he dusted the first bookshelf, the speakers came alive with music and he looked over to find Doc standing behind him near the bathroom door. "Nice choice," he complimented.

"You're just saying that because you know it's the cleaning playlist you made," Doc teased, before slipping on gloves and stepping back into the bathroom.

Lifting the framed photo he had gotten as a gift the first Christmas he and Doc shared, he couldn't help but smile. Bdubs was sure to carefully dust the photo frame as he laughed at the pout on young Doc's face. He continued to go through the shelf, humming along to the music as he moved the books and other knick-knacks to clean them and beneath them.

He found himself more and more enjoying the days when he and his boyfriend would spend the whole morning cleaning the apartment. No matter what chore he would end up doing, he still enjoyed it.

Although, it was nice to hear Doc cussing out over the tub instead of himself. They had the most sensitive shower lever either of them had seen, yet the two were equally procrastinating replacing it. "No one said you had to clean yourself too!" Bdubs called out, laughing at his own teasing.

Since the bathroom door was still open, he got to watch as Doc turned off the stream of water and slowly stood up. Abandoning his task for a moment, Bdubs walked over to the bathroom and leaned against the door frame. His roommate huffed as he turned around. "This is karma, isn't it? Because I laughed at you last time, huh?"

Bdubs' grin grew as he nodded. "It totally is!" He laughed.

Before he could protest he was pulled into a hug, Doc's soaked shirt dampening his own. "H-Hey!" He squawked as he was squeezed.

"Oh, Bdubs I'm so sorry for making fun of you!" Doc dramatically apologized. "I do hope this makes up for it!"

"You're gettin' me all wet!" Bdubs complained through light laughter as he pushed against his chest as best as he could.

Doc laughed at him, finally letting go. "What, you don't want a hug?" He teased.

"Try again when you're dry," he snorted, waving the feather duster below his nose. The hybrid's face scrunched up as he looked away, taking a moment to sneeze. "Cute," he commented, sneaking a quick kiss on Doc's cheek before returning to the shelves.

"Shouldn't you be watering the plants?" Bdubs asked from his spot underneath the sink. Their sink was in dire need of repair and so that was his other big chore of the day. On the other hand, Doc, instead of taking care of the various houseplants, was crouched in front of the sink, watching him work.

"They'll be watered," he assured him. "I'm just takin' a break!"

Bdubs slid out for a moment. "Enjoying the view then, huh?" He teased before switching to a smaller wrench. Doc rolled his eyes, his lopsided smile still plastered on his face.

"Just waiting with my fingers crossed that you somehow end up soaked." Scoffing at the comment, Bdubs lightly kicked his knee. "Okay, okay I'm going!" He laughed, patting his foot before standing up.

Armed with the spray bottle, he moved around the apartment, feeding the plants they had managed to accumulate over the year. There were three in the bedroom, five - of varying sizes - in the living room, two in the kitchen, and two hanging above the balcony outside. Some of the smaller ones were gifts from friends, but many were ones that the two had picked out on their own.

While he stood out on the balcony checking on the hanging plants, Tugger slipped outside. He reached his front paws up on Doc's leg to stretch and meowed. "Don't worry, I'll feed you the moment I'm done," he promised, bending down to scratch just behind his ear.

With only the plants in the bedroom left, he headed back inside, his cat happily leading the way. He looked to his left at where Bdubs was in the kitchen, now standing and wiping his hands. Stepping into the bedroom, he heard the faucet turn on and Bdubs cheering. "I fixed it!" He cheered, causing Doc to chuckle.

His partner poked his head inside the room, approaching the hybrid watering the tall plant. "Wow, you're not done yet?" He teased.

Doc didn't hesitate to aim the spray bottle at Bdubs and spritz water in his face. "Hey!" Bdubs laughed, shielding his face.

"Yeah, it seems I missed one!" Doc laughed, continuing to spray him. The other man protested, continuing to turn his body before running out of the room. His cheeks hurt from how hard he was smiling as he chased him around the apartment.

They circled the table and the couch and just as they reached the balcony door Doc managed to hook an arm around his torso and pull him close. Bdubs was laughing as he thrashed his legs, but he didn't let go, instead wrapping his other arm around him and lifting him. "There's nowhere for you to run!" He declared, spinning him around.

Doc peppered kisses on his cheek, generating more laughter from his boyfriend. "Put me down!" Bdubs managed to light-heartedly plead through his laughter.

He kissed him a few more times before complying and letting his feet touch the floor. "I love you," Doc sang, pressing his lips to his temple.

"I love you too!" Bdubs held his jaw, rubbing his thumb on his cheek. "Once you're done with the plants, whaddya say about making some food together, hm?" He suggested.

He nodded in agreement. "I'll get Tugger's food all set too," he added before they shared a quick kiss and went back into the bedroom.

Soft music floating behind sizzling paninis on a pan and giggling drowned the entire apartment. The two kept bumping each other as they fixed up a brunch. It was the simple moments, those certain days which reminded the two why they were so ready to spend their lives together forever.
