Drunken Confessions

I don't know how people are with alcohol use, so the first bit is centered around that. Thankfully, I'm terrible at writing drunk people! Never done it before! Oh well.

"Bdubs," Keralis giggled. "What did I tell you? I'm gonna call Doc for you, okay?" He was trying to sound stern, but a drunk Bdubs was a funny Bdubs.

The two had decided to go out for a night, but the shorter was a terrible judge of how much was too much for him. Keralis normally offers to walk him home, but he knew neither of them would make it.

"Mkay," he mumbled, propping his elbow on the table and pressing his cheek into his hand. His eyelids felt heavy. He had just talked what felt like a million miles an hour and was now beginning to crash. The freckled male lazily watched as his friend talked on the phone, and only sat back up when his hand ruffled his hair.

"Doc's almost here, but I really gotta pee. Just stay out of trouble, okay?"

It could've been five minutes or an hour, Bdubs couldn't tell the time in this state. But eventually, someone sat down next to him in the booth. A familiar tall brunette.

"Oh hey Doc!" he grinned, a light giggle slipping.

"Woah, Bdubs, are you okay?" he laughed, shaking his head. The freckled brunette vigorously nodded. "I think you need to get home."

"Mmh yeah, maybe," the tan male giggled, leaning on his arm. He stared up at Doc with pursed lips.

His boyfriend could clearly tell something was on his mind and sighed into a smile. "Something on my face?" he teased.

"I love you, y'know that?" he blurted out, surprising the other male.

"Bdubs y-"

"Maybe, maybe I don't say it enough but I really really really love you. So much." Bdubs cupped his face, studying his features. Sure, they were a little blurry, but it was Doc nonetheless. Emerald eyes and all.

The taller brunette's eyes widen, his cheeks pink. He placed his left hand atop Bdubs. "Are you serious?" he whispered.

"Why wouldn't I be serious, Doc?" the freckled whispered in return. "Even when we weren't dating I think... I think I still loved you or somethin'."

The taller moved his hand from over Bdubs to his chin and pressed a soft kiss to his lips.

"Excuse me but what exactly are you doing with my boyfriend?" Bdubs leaned to the side so he could look over the male's shoulder and just blinked.

Since when were there two Docs?

When Doc stepped into the bar, he remembered Keralis telling him they were in a booth. He had looked around, no sight of either of them. But then he heard Bdubs.

"I love you, y'know that?" His voice was unmistakable, even with the layers of alcohol. The hybrid assumed he was talking to Keralis, but when he followed the sound he stopped in his tracks. A pale, tall brunette was sitting with his boyfriend as he said, "Maybe, maybe I don't say it enough but I really really really love you. So much."

He was dumbfounded. His head was screaming at him to march over there and figure out what the fuck was going on, but his body was frozen in place. The two whispered something to each other, but all he caught was, "Even when we weren't dating I think... I think I still loved you or somethin'" from Bdubs.

Is that his ex he was talking about? The thought abruptly appeared in his mind, and once it presented itself it wouldn't go away. Finally, he got a hold of himself and was able to walk up to them.
