The Bowling Date

Doc woke up to fingers running through his hair.

He buried his face in Bdubs' chest as he squeezed him. "Mornin' Gorgeous," Bdubs lightly laughed.

"Good morning," he mumbled, reluctantly letting go of him to sit up and wipe the corner of his eye. His roommate sat up as well and leaned against his arm. Now that they had an automatic feeder that gave Tugger his breakfast every morning, they were able to wake up a little later.

Bdubs snaked his arms around Doc's robotic arm and hummed. "Are you ready to be absolutely crushed in bowling?" He lazily teased, looking up at him with a grin.

Giggling, the hybrid leaned over and kissed the top of his head. "It is literally impossible for you to win against me," he pointed out. "My cybernetics are unbeatable."

The shorter one pulled him down to properly kiss him. "We will see," he hummed.

Bdubs and Doc were given the first lane, and lucky for them there were no groups for about three or four lanes.

While Bdubs was lacing up his bowling shoes, Doc examined the monitor to figure out how to start the game.

"Ooh, we should put nicknames for each other!" He suggested when he found the 'Add Player' button.

"Great idea!" Bdubs stood next to him as Doc typed in 'Bee'.

He stepped aside to let him type in something for the hybrid.

His fingers hovered between letters until his face lit up. "I got it! Now don't peek, just look up at the screen until it pops up!"

And so Doc did as he was told. He was expecting some kind of cute nickname, but maybe the mischievous giggles from Bdubs should've given it away.

A new player was added to the roster.

'Dog'.

"Are you serious?" He laughed, turning around to grab him. "Dog? What's that supposed to mean?"

Bdubs didn't stop laughing as he reached up to pat his head. "Dog!"

"Alright then! I'll change your name then," he decided, which shut up his boyfriend.

"Wait wait no, you can't! It's set in stone! It's set in stone!" He protested. Doc wrapped his arms around him from behind and effortlessly picked him and turned him around. Shifting to hold him with one arm, he stuck his tongue out as he navigated the menu whilst holding back a thrashing Bdubs.

He finally put down Bdubs so he could look up at the screen hanging from the ceiling.

"Butt!?" He shrieked, looking up at him. Laughing, Doc nodded. "What is that your favorite part of me?"

Scoffing, he raised an eyebrow. "What if it was?" He teased, wrapping his arms around his waist.

"Is that all I am to you? A nice butt?" Bdubs dramatically sighed, leaning his head back.

Doc giggled, gazing warmly at his boyfriend. It felt like ages since they last joked around. Either they were both busy with work or too tired to do anything but cuddle on the couch. Which wasn't something he'd complain about, but laughing with him was something that couldn't be matched.

"I love you, Bdubs," he murmured, kissing his forehead.

Exhaling softly, he kissed his cheek in return. "And I love you, Dog."

"Oh my god!" He laughed, letting go of him. "You're up first, let's get this started already."

Rolling his eyes, Bdubs moved over to pick up a bowling ball. "Trust me, you're about to eat my dust."
