Artemis sits in silence as her parents tell her about her first month. She feels overwhelmed and still angry. A few minutes pass and she can't be in the room anymore. "Call me when dinner is ready." She runs out of the room, heading towards hers. She decides to catch up on her studies and complete the reading material till dinner.

Elli paces in her room, worrying about Artemis. The last thing she wants is Artemis to regress to her dark times. It was one of the worse things she had witnessed. She stops in her place and sighs. Her face falls as she thinks of the worse that can happen to Artemis.

She takes out her phone and dials her number again. Just like the other 25 calls, it went to voicemail. She runs to her bed and screams into her pillow in frustration. She hugs her pillow tightly, hugging it like she would disappear any second.

"Elli, pull yourself together. This is not the time for self-loathing. Call Adam or Rose, ask them if she's there."Sky says with a scoff. Sky holds herself to higher standards than her human. She hates self-pity and self-hatred; she deems it time-consuming. Elli jumps up, "of course, how could I be that stupid?!" She says out loud. "Watch who you're calling stupid. I am still a part of you." Sky growls with irritation.

Elli picks up the phone she threw on the bed moments ago and dials Rose. Her whole body is rigid from anxiety and stress. Rose answers at the last rings, having no powers to deal with anyone. "Hello, Elli." Elli could hear the sadness in her voice. She gently replays back, "hey Rose, sorry for interrupting. Is Artemis at your place? She left the hospital and isn't picking up her phone. I am worried about her." She freezes in her place, waiting for Rose's answer.

"Yes, dear she's here," Rose replays dejected; she sounds like she's crying. Elli can't imagine how they feel right now. It's clear as a day that the secret is out. Elli feels her body slowly relax. "Thank you, Rose; take care." As she hangs up, she sighs in relief. She gets into training uniform and goes to the gym to release the pent up stress.

"You're what? and you expect me to believe you? Are you out of your fucking mind???" Melanie stares at her in disbelief. "Andrea, we are not in twilight, so cut the crap. Do you really expect me to believe that you are a vampire?" She shouts at her. "Lini, I can prove it. And for one in your life, can you not shout?!" Melanie rolls her eyes and scoffs at her. "You know me for 5 years now; you choose a drama queen as your bestie. What did you expect?"

"You are unbelievable, Lini," Andrea mumbles annoyed. "And you love it." Melanie grins at her.

"Just don't fucking freak out like you love to do." Andrea takes a big breath and lets her fangs out. She looks over to Melanie and her eyes change to red. Not just the eyes' colour but the entire eyeball on each side turns deep red.

Melaine jumps in her seat from shock. "Dude, wtf!!" Melanie backs away into her seat as much as she can. Her breath is fast and her brain cannot process the information. "You don't want me to freak out?! Dude your entire eyeball is red, like blood-red; you have fangs, and you think I can be calm? hell nah, I'm out!" Melanie takes off her seat belt, ready to bolt out of the car.

"Should I remind you that this is your car?" Andrea lifts her brow in a questioning manner. "My best friend is a vampire, I saw and read enough to know that it will be a tv drama life from now. I didn't sign up for it, I have enough drama in my life." Melanie says as she shakes her head.

"Sit your ass back down! You are not Stlies, and I am not Scott Mcall." Andrea looks at her with a straight face, trying not to laugh. "But I am a great Stiles, I have everything, great sarcasm, humour, I am hot, and most of all I am smart." Melanie lists off, puffing her chest. Andrea couldn't hold it anymore, she bursts out laughing like a hyena.

"Just drive already. I want food." Andrea says between laughs to a pouting Melanie.

"Why, Rea?" Melanie asks, knowing Andrea would understand. "You're my best friend; I couldn't keep it away anymore. It's my life, and I don't want to keep secrets from you. Now, hurry up; I want your mum's food."

Melanie and Andrea stride in, smiling and talking between them on random stuff, not sensing the depressing mood. They walk upstairs to Melanie's room and continue chatting and hanging out until dinner.

"DINNER'S READY!" They could all hear Adam's voice.

Artemis leaves her room as Melanie and Andrea exit the room too. Artemis is still quiet; her social battery is at zero percent. She walks past them without a word; this baffles Melanie. They both frown as they enter the kitchen. They now notice Adam and Rose with heavy faces.

Melanie is immediately alert to the situation. "What is going on?" She asks, confused. Artemis looks at her with broken eyes; she feels conflicted. How will Melanie react to the news? Will she still consider her as her sister?

"Ask them, they got me into this," Artemis says dryly, as her face is void of emotions. "What do you mean?" Melanie asks with uncertainty. Adam and Rose sit in silence, not uttering a word. They do not know what to say.

"Well, are you going to speak?" Artemis taunts them. Again they stay in silence. Feeling agitated, Melanie bursts, "would someone just say something??"

Artemis chuckles darkly, "surprise shawty; I'm adopted."
