The road is a blur as the car drive, the trees moving by in the light night wind. But my stare is still stuck on my hair. After I had shifted back, my hair had white highlights, which it still does. The twins were awe-struck by it, said it made me look hotter.

I can still feel their heated gaze, their probing eyes, and the need to touch me. Nyx said it was probably a manifestation of my powers, and considering the building power went out because of me, I tend to believe her.

We are rushing back to the pack territory for my first run. They said my first run is important in order to build a strong connection between Nyx and me.

Elli also said it's important to release pent-up anger.

Nyx right now is too antsy to talk to me. Apparently, all she can think about is the forest. Rolling my eyes, I look out the window. In a few minutes, we will be on pack land, while patrol will escort us to the packhouse. I memorized the road and counted the time it takes to get there.

I sigh, my anxiety creeping inside of me. The shift was so painful. I remember every second of it; the way every bone was breaking, the way fur came out painfully. The face hurt the most; too painful.

I shudder.

Victoria puts her hand on my thigh and smiles encouragingly. I say nothing but lean on her shoulder. Hers and Dean's touch stir something inside me, making me melt at the slightest touch. Her jasmine scent warps around me in a comforting hug. I close my eyes and take a whiff, letting it take all my worries away.

Victoria explained to me about the whole mate thing better. She said most of the time mates identify each other by scent, but a touch is a sealed deal. She said she and Dean had their suspension, but because my scent wasn't as potent as now, they couldn't really tell.

Dean parks the car, and we step out to the chilly night. In the past, this cold would have had me running to my bed. Now, it doesn't affect me.

The cold doesn't bother me anymore.

I try to calm my erratic heartbeat as Elli and my alphas talk. My alphas. I like it; a small smile grows on my lips, and my heart now beats fast for another reason.

My eyes widen as they take off their clothes. I stare as Dean takes off his shirt and reveals his mouthwatering torso. He is not all muscles, which I very much like. He is on the leaner side, while Victoria has a more builder like body.

She said one day she will tell me why she focused on her body more than Dean did.

The moon's rays caress their brown skin, creating an aura around them that makes me want to jump on them and lick them. I groan as they take off their trousers. I try to look away as Elli does, but I can't.

Dean's thighs call my name, begging me to sink my teeth in them. They look so soft. I want my teeth to mark every inch of them. By sheer force, I don't look at what's between them. I look over to Victoria, only getting a glimpse before she shifts.
