"Now....... there, bro." Domino said, as he adjusted my bandages.
I took a shaky few steps, but I was glad to find I could walk without much pain in my lower adomen, but I felt weaker then I would have liked.
"How long until I'm fully heal, D?" I asked Domino. Who washed his hands in the sink nearby.
Domino shrugged. "You can never tell with stab wounds, especially from a magical weapon. Your wound is about seventy to eighty percent healed. My advice-"
He walked over to me and placed his hand on my shoulder. "Take it easy, Bro. And rely on other people when you can."
One of his brothers, Chip, poked his head in my room. "C'mon Bro, we got another stab victim."
Domino sighed. "Bro, Unicorn?"
Chip nodded his head. "Unicorn bro."
Domino slapped my shoulder. "Best of luck bro."
And just like that, the bros ran off to help their next patient. I left my room, passing through the hallways of the infirmary. I dodged nurses and doctors, who wished me the best as I walked by. I was headed to one room in particular, but I slowed down when I past a specific room that I recognized.
The curtains were open and inside I could see a young boy sitting on his bed, giggling as one of the nurses tapped his knee with a plexor.
The boy turned his attention to me and he smiled with excitement. He had soft light brown eyes and dark chocolate colored skin. The seven year old wore a medical gown and was attached to IV. He had no hair or eyebrows, as he recently began chemo treatment.
"Big Jason!" He exclaimed.
"Mini Jason!" I exclaimed, matching his energy.
"Oh my gods. I was so worried about you!" He said, nearly jumping off his bed. "You didn't visit this week."
"Slow down there mini Jason." His nurse, Felix, told him. "You don't want to drop all of this equipment now, do you?"
Mini Jason pouted. "Ahhh, okay. Big Jason, when do we get to fly in the air again? That was so fun!"
I chuckled and raised my shirt so he could see my bandages. "Sorry buddy, but I'm fighting my own battles too. Maybe next time."
Mini Jason looked concerned, but he slammed his chest with his hand. "Fighting is what we Jason's do, right?"
I smiled and slammed my chest too, wincing in pain. "Yes sir!"
"Who's this?"
I turned around to see who had entered the room and my heart did a little leap frog.
Reyna entered, her neck bruised horribly. Her voice was a lot deeper then usual, but outside of that she looked okay.
I ignored the bruising on her neck for the meantime. "This is Mini Jason. Mini Jason, this is Reyna, my best friend."
Mini Jason jumped off his bed and grabbed his IV stand. He dragged it over to her and extended his hand . "Hiya Reyna. Big Jason told me a lot about you."
Reyna was surprised, but she smiled and accepted his hand. "Hiya Jason-"
"MINI Jason!" He corrected.
Reyna raised her hand, she cleared her throat painfully. "Sorry, Mini Jason, how come I've never met you before?"
Mini Jason kicked his IV stand, which made Felix flinch. "Stupid cancer. I've been fighting it for a long time, but I'll win! For sure! Mama and Papa are working hard in Old Rome-"
