"Everyone! Back away! We need space!" Michael shouted at the crowd.

Rachel, Clarisse and I had to drag Percy away from Annabeth, who rested unconscious on the ground. Percy was irate. He cried. He cursed. He punched and kicked us.

Michael addressed Percy before continuing his work. "I'll do everything I can Percy. She's not gone yet. But you need to trust us."

Percy still fought against us. I positioned myself in front of him and smacked him. "PERCY!" I yelled at him.

He shook his head and stared at me with a wild expression, his eyes glowing sea green. "Listen to me!" I said, my hands squeezing tightly on his neck collar. "You made a promise. Do you understand? A promise! This is not an illusion. This is not challenge. This is IT! Are you going to go back on your word or not?!"

Percy wavered, his promise to Annabeth weighing heavy on him. He avoided my gaze, but i tracked him aggressively, forcing him to look at me. "Hey! Hey! Look at me! Are you going to go back on your word or are you going to make things right?"

Percy swallowed, then gritted his teeth, growling hard. His eyes flashed sea green momentarily and then he swiped my hands away. We stared at each other, breathing heavily.

Percy groaned with anger. "FINE! I'll go help Camp Jupiter. WE will go help them." Percy empathized WE , his gaze passing across his fellow campers. "We'll make this right. But if I run into Max..... I can't guarantee anything."

I nodded. "That's all I needed to hear."

We turned our attention to Clarisse, who stared at the black tornado behind us. The tornado was spinning slower then before, the winds calmly gradually. Hope and fear tussled in the pit of my heart. Jason's wrath could be subsiding..... Or Max was winning the fight.

Clarisse turned her attention back to us, her dark brown eyes focusing on me. "I'm sorry."

Clarisse might as well burst into flames; seeing as some of the campers gasped in shock. Which I could understand. I barely knew her, but I got sense apologizing didn't come easy to her.

Clarisse stepped forward and extended her hand. "I'm sorry for hurting your.......family." She continued. "This.... Its..... You have to understand-"

I extended my hand. "I understand. I would love to stand here and cry with you, but we have a war to end."

Clarisse smirked and firmly grasped my hand. "Your right."

I tried to pull away, but she held tight. I met her eyes again, a dangerous red glow burning deep within her eyes. "But understand this. When this is over, Max can't get away with this. Do you understand? He NEEDS to face the consequences of his actions."

I squeezed her hand again and nodded. "I do."

She nodded and focused her attention towards her fellow campers. "Listen up, cupcakes. We have to a war to end! Under no circumstances do we attack fellow Roman demigods unless in self defense. Some of them don't know we're on their side, so be wary!"

Sherman approached Clarisse from the right. "Sis, some of the campers don't feel comfortable approaching the Romans. We need someone to send the message we're on their side."

"We'll take care of that." Rachel said, pulling Percy forward. Clarisse squinted at Rachel.

"And you are?" She asked.

Rachel puffed her chest out. "Just a lowly mortal. Which means neutral ground. They'll be less likely to attack me on sight."

"And Percy?" Clarisse questioned. "You've been in the labyrinth this whole time, do the Roman know of you?"
