Kaigaku and Zenitsu

chapter 4

Zenitsu ran through the forest, trying to avoid every demon he could. It was hard to avoid them. Luckily, he grabbed some wisteria on the way in.

So demons stayed cleared of him, but once he let go of the wisteria, they immediately started to attack him. He was lucky enough to avoid them or someone else cut off their heads.

"Come here, little boy!" A demon laughed lunging at him, "UWAAAH LEAVE ME ALONE," he cried as he ran but tripped over a tree branch, knocking himself out as he landed on the ground.

The demon just cackled making fun of Zenitsu, "stupid brat, you knocked yourself out, didn't know people could be so stupid" he cackled as he was about to eat him, Zenitsu rose up, "huh?" He questioned as Zenitsu faced him, putting his hand on the hilt of his sword.

"Thunder breathing first form:Thunderclap and flash," He said, and immediately, the demons head was rolling on the ground, "what in the! How did I get beaten? " the demon yelled.

As the demon cursed, Zenitsu woke up

"Huh, what happened? Am I dead?" Zenitsu asked himself, turns out he wasn't, that was surprising, but then he shrieked at the demon that was yelling at him while fading away, "AHHH DON'T KILL ME!" He shrieked as he ran away, not noticing the demon was already dead.

"Have to find shelter," he whispered as he ran through the forest, "come here, little boy." A demon said, "Hey, he's mine!" Another demon said they soon started to battle, Zenitsu gulped as he used that opportunity to run away.

"AGH" He said as he bumped into someone, "so sorry please forgive me" he bowed, he looked up and saw a beautiful girl smiling down at him, he immediately blushed, the girl just smiled and patted his head as she walked towards the arguing demons, "d-dont fight them!" Zenitsu said as he followed her to make sure she wouldn't die.

To be honest, he was super surprised at the girls strength she was able to behead the arguing demons in a flash, "w-wow you're super strong!" He complimented. The girl continued to smile and allowed Zenitsu to follow her.

"My name is Zenitsu Agastuma. What about you?" He asked, "Kanao Tsuyuri. " she smiled, "Nice to meet you, Kanao, " he said as he tripped again and landed in mud.

"Eeewww," he said, Kanao helped him up and cleaned him off, "Thanks Kanao" he blushed, and she nodded as they both continued through the forest.

"Ooh, two delicious humans and young kids too," a demon said, popping out, "AHHHH" Zenitsu screamed, grabbing onto Kanao, "Save me save me please!" He cried, "c-careful" Kanao said as he accidentally pushed her to the ground, "oh my I'm so sorry" he apologized, "HAH the kid is sabotaging himself and the other this is going to be easy" the demon laughed lunging towards Kanao but Zenitsu got infront of her and took the hit.

Zenitsu was luckily alive but knocked out cold. "Z-Zenitsu!" Kanao called. She looked over at the demon who was now going towards her, but his arm was cut off, "what the!" The demon questioned, Zenitsu rose up with his eyes closed, "is the brat seriously sleep fighting hah what a joke" the demon mocked as he attacked Zenitsu but his attack was blocked.

Zenitsu grabbed Kanao and moved back, placing her behind him, holding his hand out protectively.

"Thunder breathing first form: Thunderclap and flash," he said. " Soon enough, Kanao saw lighting and a beheaded demon, her eyes widened.

To be honest, she thought Zenitsu was weak and cowardly. She hadn't expected this, and she clearly underestimated him.

She allowed him to follow her because she didn't want him to die, she was actually going to let him follow her back to the butterfly estate and have Shinobu train him so he wouldn't have to cling to other people.

After the demon was beheaded, Zenitsu fell to the ground, but Kanao caught him.

She brought him to the nearest cave and bandaged up his wounded head.

The final day had come, and she was expecting to carry Zenitsu up the steps, but luckily, he woke up and went up the steps himself.

They soon made it up, and Zenitsu almost fell to the ground, but luckily, Kanao patted his back, and he stood his ground.

Soon enough a boy that was familiar to him walked up looking around, Zenitsu whispered to himself "luckily to find kanao, but what happens if she's not there I'm a goner" he said

Soon, the girls started to speak, "Congratulations," they said, "we're pleased to see you alive," the girl said.

"So? What am I supposed to do now?" A boy rudely asked, "where's my sword?" He asked, "Patience, first we need to get uniforms issued, " the white-haired girl spoke.

"We will take your measurements and after have your rank engraved on the back of your hand," she explained, "there are ten ranks in total."

"Kinoe"

"Kinoto"

"Hinoe"

"Hinoto"

"Tsuchinoe"

"Tsuchinoto"

"Kanoe"

"Kanoto"

"Mizunoe"

"Mizunoto"

"Currently, you are at that lowest rank, Mizunoto," she said, "and our swords?" He asked again rudely.

"Today, you will chose the ore for your swords" she began, "however, the swords will take ten to fifteen days to complete" she finished, "Ugh really" scarred boy complained, "but first" she clapped her hands and soon birds landed on all of them.

"We will now assign you each of your own kasugai crow," she said, "we get crows? What for?" The handufa earings said, "the Kasugai crow can be used primarily for communication, " she explained.

"You said crows, right? Why is mine a sparrow?" He asked, looking at his bird, "Don't give me that crap!" The scar boy yelled, scaring Zenitsu.

He growled, walking up to her, "who gives a crap on some stupid crow?" He asked, then attacked the girl, "I want my sword right now, " he demanded. As he was yelling, the handfua earing boy walked up and grabbed his arm.

"Let go of her, or I'll break your arm," he threatened, "oh man, what should I do!" Zenitsu said, looking at Kanao for guidance, but she just smiled.

"Do it," the boy said, The handufa boy just looked at him and squeezed his arm. You could hear the bones cracking.

The boy immediately let go of the girl and cradled his arm. As the boys made eye contact, it was silent for a while, but the other girl ended the silence.

"Are you done chatting?" She asked. She then pulled off a table cloth, revealing a set of different ores.

"Now then, please choose a set of different ores,"

"The ore for the sword will annihilate demons and protect you will be your own choosing," she said.

"It probably won't matter. Once Kaigaku is dead, I'm a goner,"

But what should he pick? His master hasn't taught him anything about ores.

"I have aboustlety no clue which one to pick," the scarred boy said, but the handufa earings sniffed and walked forward and chose his ore.

"Weird way to choose ore," Zenitsu thought, but he sighed and decided to pick his own ore too.

"Umm goodbye Kanao and thank you for protecting me" he said to the girl, she smiled, "you're welcome and thank you for saving me too" she smiled as she chose her ore and left.

"What? But she protected me, I didn't protect her? What is she talking about? " Zenitsu thought as he began the journey back to the Tanaka's.

(I am not shipping Kanao and Zenitsu just to clarify)
