Kaigaku and Zenitsu

Chapter 11

As him and Tanjiro headed to their next mission Zenitsu had a long thought on what the arrow demon had said.

"Tamayo? The fugitive, and Kaigaku Uppermoon 1's little pet"

"So Upper moon 1 was the one who killed gramps and changed Kaigaku" he thought looking at the box that Kaigaku was in.

"But if Kaigaku turns to upper moon 1 then I'll be left alone to die without a spouse" Zenitsu thought stopping in his tracks.

*chirp chirp*

"Keep going murder house!" The sparrow called to Zenitsu.

"Are you okay Zenitsu you've been quiet ever since we left Yushiro and Tamayo" Tanjiro said worryingly.

"Yeah I'm fine I've been thinking" he said as he dropped to his knees.

"What is it?" Tanjiro asked bending down.

"AHHH WHAT HAPPENS IF I DIE!!! AHHHH WHO WILL TAKE CARE OF KAIGAKU AND GET REVENGE, AHHHHH!!!!" He screamed tears streaming down his face.

"AHHHHH!!!!!!! AND I WONT BE ABLE TO HAVE A SPOUSE" Zenitsu cried.

"Zenitsu calm down!" Tanjiro said trying to calm him down.

"Uh hey are you guys okay?" A girl asked them, Zenitsu looked up and blushed, he instantly clinged to the girl.

"Zenitsu!" Tanjiro called out but was drowned out by Zenitsu's cries.

"PLEASE MARRY ME YOUR THE ONLY ONE THAT CARES" he cried as the girl tried to shake him off.

"No im not marrying you now get off!!" She said as she slapped him.

"Zenitsu stop that!" Tanjiro said as he grabbed on to him trying to pry him off of the girl.

*slink*

"Huh?" Zenitsu thought as he realized Kaigaku had almost stabbed him in the head with his sword.

"AHHHH NOW ANIKI IS TRYING TO KILL ME" Zenitsu cried, Tanjiro finally got him off of the girl and apologized.

"I'm very sorry for my friends behavior, he has been super anxious lately, do you need any help getting home?" Tanjiro asked.

"No I should be fine, thank you for helping" she said.

"TANJIRO WHAT ARE YOU DOING SHE WAS GOING TO ACCEPT MY MARRIAGE" Zenitsu screamed in his face.

"Tell that to my fiance" the girl said and walked away leaving Tanjiro with crying Zenitsu.

"Zenitsu are you okay! Why did you suddenly start crying like that" Tanjiro asked bending down on his knees.

"I'm sorry Tanjiro, I'm just worried on what would happen if Kaigaku ever died or left me" Zenitsu said apologizing to Tanjiro.

"Hey come on don't think like that Zenitsu, you should know that Kaigaku would never leave you" Tanjiro said trying to reassure Zenitsu.

"Yeah you're right Tanjiro let's keep going" Zenitsu said standing up and following the sparrow and crow with Tanjiro.

As they were walking Tanjiro got out some rice balls, "here have this Zenitsu!" Tanjiro smiled and gave him it, Zenitsu took a bite of it and looked at Tanjiro.

"Aren't you going to have something Tanjiro?" He asked, "hm that was all I had" Tanjiro said, Zenitsu felt guilty and broke it in half and gave him some.

"Thank you!" He said and started to eat the half Zenitsu gave him.

"Start running! Start running! Tanjiro, Zenitsu, run! Both of you had over to your next location! Run! Tanjiro run! Zenitsu" the crow said.
