Chapter 32

Tanjiro was breathing heavily he needed to get his breathing under control but his heart kept pounding every time he heard the demons footsteps come closer and closer.

The demon scowled at him "that's enough you ugly brat!" She yelled attacking him with her sashes. Tanjiro dodged the sashes blocking a few with his swords but they only detached from the demons body.

Tanjiro gasped in surprised because the demon lurched forward at him making him roll backwards and watching as the sashes reattached to her body.

The two continued attacking until 2 sashes appeared and went into the demons body.

"What? The belts are entering her body?" Tanjiro thought. "No it's more like the ones that were split off are now coming back to her" Tanjiro thought as he watched her.

The demon just stood there giving Tanjiro the opening to attack. Tanjiro ran forward but the demon just grinned "I knew it" she smiled.

She disappeared as Tanjiro landed his attack. He looked around looking for her before spotting her on a roof.

"It seems I was right. A hashira really did show up! How magnificent. This will please the master a lot!" The demon yelled with a manically smile as her hair turned from black to white with green tips and cracks appearing on her body.

"She just transformed. Her scent couldn't be more ominous. It's really making me sick which can't be good" Tanjiro thought standing his ground.

"Keep it down out there will ya!" A guy yelled.

"Is that a sword? You got a lot of nerve fighting outside of my house. What kind of mischief is this!" The guy yelled and Tanjiro was now stressing they made too much noise now the civilians were interfering.

"I'll have you know that this Hanamachi is only viable because we and our clients all follow the rules, so if you're gonna cause trouble you're not welcome here. Get the hell out of here now!" The guy yelled pointing at them.

"You should mind your own buisness." The demon growled as she got up slowly making Tanjiro sweat. "Please sir don't come this way" Tanjiro begged making the man stop confused. "stay back please!" Tanjiro pleaded.

Tanjiros eyes widened as he saw the sashes coming down h there direction. "Get back inside its too dangerous!" Tanjiro shouted as he gently moved the man back with his sword and blocked the incoming attack slicing his shoulder and the man's wrist.

Tanjiro looked up terror in his eyes as the buildings fell hearing the cries of anguish and smelling the scent of fresh blood.

This this really made Tanjiro sick to his stomach.

"Stay calm, sir I swear you're going to survive this, but you're arm you need to stop the bleeding." Tanjiro said as blood dripped down from his shoulder.

But what really made Tanjiro angry was how the demon got up and smiled at all the damaged she had down and started to walk away. That made Tanjiro grip onto his sword harder "get back here" Tanjiro spat.

"I won't let you get away with this!" Tanjiro yelled. The demon looked back "you still have something to say?" The demon asked sounding bored "it's all futile and on top of that you're hideous. Ugly people don't deserve a place in this world so do everyone a favors and die with them" the demon growled.

"Hiro wake up please!"

"Somebody help us please!"

"Everybody get back inside!"

"It's too dangerous to stay out here!"

Hearing those anguished cries and pleading made Tanjiro angry there was something inside his heart that started to rage making his blood vessels in his eyes pop.
