Kaigaku and Zenitsu

Bonus

Kaigaku was laying on the floor of his room watching the only lit candle in the room.

He had gotten bored and wanted to see Tanjiro or Inouske maybe Zenitsu but he couldn't, it was currently nighttime he could go outside but what was the point in doing that? They already don't trust him just because he's a demon.

Kaigaku sighed and flopped over onto his back, he looked over at the door and back at the candle.

He's probably going to regret this later, Kaigaku slowly walked up to the door and opened it and the moonlight beamed onto him.

He quickly ran down the hall trying not to make any noise and kept looking in the rooms trying to find the one with Zenitsu or Inosuke in it, he really hoped to find one with Tanjiro in it!

He kept walking around only to end up lost, "mmh!" He made a sound of confusion and frustration, he saw a door and quickly ran to it but only to end up outside.

He felt tears roll down his cheeks, great he huffed as he sat down with his arms crossed.

he wanted Tanjiro right now.

He heard some footsteps and quickly looked up thinking it was one of the butterfly girls.

But no it wasn't, it was the giant he saw at the hashira meeting what was his name again?

He looked up at the giant man.

He knew him from somewhere but where did he know him from? The giant bent down and Kaigaku got a better look at his face, the man was blind and he had large beads around his neck.

"Kaigaku...." the man said softly, "mmh?" He replied back, tears rolled down the man's cheek, as he was wrapped into a hug.

"You probably don't remember me, but I'm glad your still alive" he mumbled as he lifted Kaigaku up from the ground.

"Mmh?" He made a voice of confusion, the man ignored him still hugging him tightly mumbling something Kaigaku couldn't comprehend, Kaigaku looked at the man again.

He felt safe, he felt very comfortable, this man made him feel like he was at home, he knew this man he was close to him in his human life he was just as close to him like Sayo.

Kaigaku started to cry too, he wished he could remember this man but he couldn't, he laid his head on his shoulder wrapping his arms around his neck as they sat their for awhile.

Kaigaku then felt his eyes get droopy and he soon fell asleep.

When Gyomei first heard about two demons slayers carrying demons, he pitied them thinking they were controlled under the demons and were forced to carry them around.

He wanted to release their soul from those demons, but when he felt a famillar prescense and name he couldn't believe it.

It was Kaigaku the child he raised and the child who had ran off leaving them with a demon.

The child he had raised for a short period of time had become a demon. 

He blamed himself for the situation in the past, because if he knew Kaigaku wasn't in bed and was in the woods he would've looked for him and even smash the demons head into the ground and bring him into a hug trying to comfort the poor child.

He was such a coward even in the past, he was the strongest pillar yet he didn't have the guts to stop Shinazugawa-San from stabbing Kaigaku and baiting him into drinking his blood, He was thankful that Kaigaku had denied it.

He decided to visit the butterfly mansion to see Kaigaku.

He walked to the mansion and felt his presence, he had walked up to him and hugged him even lifting him up apologizing to him.

He knew Kaigaku didn't know who he was, but he didn't care this was the child he promised to protect when he was younger he already broke that promise but he won't break it again.

He will make sure Kaigaku turns back into a human and live a normal life, he won't fail Kaigaku again.

"I promise you Kaigaku, I won't ever fail you again, I promise that you will be a human again, and that you will live a normal life" he whispered to the child sized demon.

Kaigaku had fallen asleep long ago.

"I promise to protect you and your friends with my life" he whispered.

He swear he could feel some other famillar prescense but they were in the afterlife, they were whispering to Kaigaku.

"Be safe Kaigaku-nii!" Were what they said.

He smiled as he brought Kaigaku back to his room and prayed to him as he laid their in the bed fast asleep.

"Goodnight Kaigaku"

Just to be clear this is Canon for the book, but since I couldn't fit it in the chapters I decided to do this, it will pop up in one of the chapters again.
