A Special Ceremony Chapter 10

You saw Shadow walking to his tent and looked at the others.

"Why does he hate me so much?"

"Who?"

"Shadow?"

"Well...we're not really supposed to tell you."

"Why not?"

"He just won't let us." Blaze said as she walked towards you.

"Hi. I'm Blaze, a Jaguar Shapeshifter and this is Cream, the Kangaroo Shapeshifter."

"Hello!" Cream said.

A Chao was floating by her side and waved at you.

"Chao!"

"Who's that?"

"This is my Chao, Cheese."

"Cream and Cheese?"

"Yup!"

"I know right? They make a good combo." Sonic said with a chuckle.

"Her Mother, Vanilla is also a Shapeshifter Kangaroo." Blaze said.

"Vanilla? Where is she?"

"She's already asleep for the night." Cream said.

"Oh alright."

"It is getting pretty late. Let's get ready for bed everyone."

Everyone nodded and went to bed while the other villagers came to use the campfire.

In the middle of night, Sonic was snoring and howling again in his wolf form as you sighed to yourself.

"I hope my home gets finished soon."

You closed your eyes again, trying to get comfortable on his fur.

For at least 3 more days, you were having a hard time earning your spirit animal.

You tried the Wolf, Zebra, Skunk, Alligator, Hawk, Kangaroo, Even some winter animals, but even though you close on a few of them, you still didn't get your symbol.

Your last option was Shadow but you didn't want to bother him so you decided to take a break for awhile.

It was night time as your friends were near the fire again and you were joining them as well. But you noticed Scourge wasn't with you this time.

"Where's Scourge?"

"He went back to Lion grounds to put together a very important ceremony. He helps put it together every time for everyone." Silver said.

"A ceremony for what?"

Suddenly, you heard a very loud Lion roar which everyone looked towards the sound. They all turned into their spirit animals and all ran off to the call.

You were confused as you noticed your friends were doing the same.

"What's going on?"

"You might wanna hang on." Silver telepathically said.

You climbed onto Silver and he ran off with his friends and the villagers.

Soon, everyone arrived in front of Scourge's home. You noticed some candles, flower petals, and a special circle formed from rocks.

You looked up as you saw two Shapeshifter Lionesses, standing in front of the cave, waiting for Scourge to come out.

Everyone got into their animal groups as they stood in front of the rock where Scourge lives.

*Sorta like The Lion King*

You were confused as you looked at Silver.

"What's going on?"

"You'll find out."

Scourge finally came out of his cave and roared loudly to get everyone's attention. They stood still as the two Lionesses stood beside him.

He growled like a lion and began to speak telepathically.

"Ladies and Gentleman. We are here once again to remember the loss of one of our friends."

"We all know it has been hard since that day and it still is, but she still lives in our hearts and is living on in a new life."

"Tonight, we help her spirit grow by showing her how much we miss her and how much we care for her."

Scourge looked at the other Lionesses as they start to form a circle. You were confused still but you continued to watch as the gems on the ground started glowing.

They each placed a paw in front of themselves and roared loudly with their eyes closed. It started forming a magical tornado which stayed inside the circle.

One animal shapeshifter leader from each group took a special gem and placed it inside the spirit tornado.

The gems turned into stars as Scourge roared again, along with the other Lions, Lionesses, and the other shapeshifters made their own animal sounds as the tornado shot the stars into the sky, forming a new constillation, which was a heart.

Everyone bowed softly and slowly as the tornado slowly went away and a mobian Shapeshifter form was in the middle of the Shapeshifter Lionesses, except as a spirit. She also had a halo and angel wings on her.

You were shocked to see this. The Mobian Spirit smiled and blew a kiss as the magical wind went through everyone.

They stood up as the spirit flapped her wings and flew away. Everyone watched until it disappeared into thin air.

You turned your head to look at the Tiger group and noticed that Shadow wasn't here. You were confused on why he would skip on such an important ceremony.

After the ceremony, everyone went back to their homes. Silver looked at you and asked,

"You coming?"

"Yeah. I'll be there in a little bit."

Silver nodded and walked away.

You began to search for Shadow for awhile. Once you found him, you saw him in his animal form as he was staring at the pond.

The Moonlight was shining in the water as he looked at it quietly. You walked towards him slowly as you kept your eyes on him.

"H-Hey..."

Shadow didn't bother moving.

"Can't you outsiders tell that I want to be alone?"

"Why weren't you at the ceremony?"

Shadow didn't say anything.

"Was there a reason why?"

"I don't have to tell you anything."

"I don't know why you are holding a grudge on me. I didn't do anything to you."

"Just go away please. I'm not going tell you again."

"You know what? I'm tired of this. I'm not going anywhere until you tell me what's going on. Why weren't you at the Ceremony?"

"I don't want to be bothered right now."

"Why not? Why do you hate me so much?"

Shadow growled at you, losing his patience.

"Because your people killed her!"

You stayed quiet as he turned back to normal, not saying a word. You slowly tried to sit by him but not to close.

"What do you mean by that?"

Shadow stayed silent for awhile as he sighed softly.

"I lost someone...very close to me...many years ago."

"Was it...that girl everyone had the ceremony for?"

Shadow nodded slowly.

"Her name was Maria."
