Maria's Army Chapter 24

Later, You slowly woke up in an unknown room, realizing that they must of knocked you out. You looked around nervously, as you were now trapped inside a cage.

Suddenly, you were startled by a lioness Shapeshifter, roaring at you, loudly.

"Gah!"

You backed away quickly towards the other end of the cage as she kept growling at you.

"Back away!"

The Lioness guards backed away as Maria walked towards you in her lion form.

"I should of known you weren't from these woods. I'm surprised they even let someone like you live with our kind."

"Maria! Why!? Why are you doing this!? What have you done to them!?"

"Why worry so much?" She starts walking back and forth while talking.

"I'm trying to help everyone! You Outsiders are the true villains here!" Maria said with a growl.

"Always hunting us down, trying to steal our power, nothing is ever enough for you."

"Our gems not only helps us Shapeshift, it's also our source of energy. Many of us have lost our lives, just so they can have the power to themselves."

Maria jumped on top of the cage and looked down at you.

"The war has been going on for way to long and your people will pay for the damages you have done. The Night of the Blue Moon was the perfect chance to do it and this time, I'm not going to stop until every, single one of the Outsiders drop to the ground!"

You stayed silent as she jumped off and sat in front of you.

"Good luck trying to escape. You'll just end up as dinner even if you try."

Maria laughed as walked away, along with her two guards.

"Maria! Don't do this! Maria!!!"

When Maria walked outside, she walked towards her subjects and grins.

"Tonight will be the final battle!" She roared loudly as the other cheered as well with their own animal noise as she led them to battle.

While they were walking, they came across the Outsiders camp sight as they looked at them, shocked.

The Outsider Leader saw this and smirked.

"This is interesting."

Maria walked forward a bit and said,

"This ends now!"

"Indeed it will."

The two armies ran towards each other and collided.

Meanwhile with Y/N, you were trying to find a way to escape the cage but there was no keyhole and the bars were to close together to slide through.

Since there was no way to escape, you slowly have up hope, knowing that you probably won't see your friends ever again.

You broke down in tears and cried quietly as you held your knees.

"This is all my fault. I never should have come here in the first place. Now everyone is in danger and I don't know what to do."

"It's not your fault Y/N."

"H-Huh?"

You turned your head and noticed another cage in the dark corner.

"It's not your fault. Your heart is to pure to do something like this."

"How do you know?"

"I can feel it. It's surprisingly very strong."

The voice was so calming that it surprised you.

"I've heard a lot about you. You are the first Outsider that has ever tried to help the Shapeshifters. The Legend must be true after all."

"The Legend? What Legend?"

"That one day, an angel from heaven will release the curse of the never ending war, to bring us peace once again."

You sighed and looked away.

"I hate to break it to you. But I'm not that angel."

"I think you are. You just haven't seen it yet. You just have to find that missing piece that's been lost and put it back together."

You and the voice stayed silent for awhile until you heard some slight noise.

"What was that!?" You asked.

The voice didn't answer as it was getting louder.

You saw two shadows coming in and you were scared that your end might be coming sooner than you thought.

But then, you heard a cheerful voice call your name.

"Y/N! We found you!"

You looked at the entrance and widened your eyes.

It was Tails and Rouge.

"Let's get you out of there girl."

"H-How did you find me!? And how are you not hypnotized!?"

"Having a vacation from stories like this, are perfect for moments like this." Rouge said as she winked at the readers.

"I'm so glad you came!"

Tails and Rouge went towards you as Tails scanned the cage with his gem to reveal the cage door. Rouge opened the door and you quickly got out.

"Quick, let's get out of here. There's guards outside and they could come in any moment."

You were about to leave but you almost forgot about the voice in the dark cage.

"Wait! There's someone else here too!"

You pointed at the cage as they did the same thing to open the cage.

"Thank you my friends."

"You're welcome..." You widened your eyes as Rouge helped her up.

"Maria!?"
