When you were finally rested, You and Knuckles were walking towards the Lion grounds. You were a little nervous since the lions lifted their heads and were looking at you while you're walking.
You gulped as Knuckles said,
"Relax. Some of them are shapeshifters."
"R-Right."
You and Knuckles walked inside a small rock cave and saw Scourge sleeping in his Lion form.
"Scourge. Get up." Knuckles said.
Scourge just kept on sleeping as he slightly growls.
"Scourge! Wake up!"
Knuckles lost his patience and turned into an Elephant, making a very long elephant sound. You covered your ears as he did.
Scourge jumped from surprised as he saw you and Knuckles. Scourge growled loudly at Knuckles.
"What the hell!?"
Knuckles turned back to normal and looked at him.
He explained everything to him and looked at you.
"So same thing as before, Scourge will teach you about the task for Lions. If he does anything to you, just holler.
Knuckles looked back at Scourge as he turned back to normal as well.
"Don't do anything stupid Scourge."
Scourge rolled his eyes.
"You're talking to a King here."
Knuckles growled at him.
"Whatever! Just help her!" Knuckles said as he is walked away.
"Alrighty then!" Scourge smirked at you as you got nervous.
"So...you want to be a lion huh?" He placed his arms behind his back and then walked towards you.
"Uh...I guess?"
"Maybe you can be my Queen. It's been awhile since I had one."
"W-What happened to your last Queen?"
"That's the problem, never had one. But you seem like a perfect fit for the throne."
"I-I'm good. Can we just get to the training please?"
"Alright cutie. Follow me."
You both left the cave as Scourge called out for someone.
"Emma!"
A light blue rabbit with purple eyes came to him quickly.
"Yes your highness?"
"Help this beauty become a lioness."
You looked at him shocked.
"Wait what? You're not gonna help me?"
Scourge laughed and said,
"Me? Oh no sweetie I can't. Three reasons."
"1. I'm the King. 2. Male Lions only sleep and protect. The females do the most work and 3. Knucklehead ruined my nap time."
"Emma here will help you out. Let me know how it goes, Kay sweet cheeks?"
He clicked his tongue with a wink as he walked inside the cave. You were glaring a bit at him until Emma called out for you.
"Miss? Miss? You ready?"
"Huh? Oh yeah. I am."
She turned into a lioness and looked at you.
"Hang on."
You climbed on her back and she started running off to the field.
During this training, she was teaching you how to catch a prey but she was letting you start with the small ones of course.
You watched her do it herself and you started to follow her way. She said to only try to catch them, not kill them of course.
After awhile, you were having trouble catching a few animals and it started getting dark.
"Want me to bring you to the village?" Emma asked.
You nodded as you were getting tired.
She turned back into a lioness and carried you to the village.
With the others, everyone was at the campfire eating their dinner.
"I wonder how Y/N's trainings going." Amy said.
"Not sure. But maybe her animal will be pretty cool." Silver said.
Emma walked towards them and gently sets you down and turns back to normal.
"Nothing happened your highness. It didn't work."
"Thanks for trying Emma. You're good to go."
She nodded and walked away.
You looked at your new friends as Amy asked,
"How did it go?"
"Exhausted and still no mark."
"Don't worry. We'll try again another time. We'll have Sonic help you for the next one."
"Thanks."
Shadow came back, carrying it his dinner on his back as he noticed you hanging out with his friends. He growled softly to himself and walked towards his tent to eat alone.
