At night, Silver took you towards the middle of the village for a little ceremony. Y/N sat down and looked at Silver.
"So what is this about Silver?"
"Once in awhile, we put on a little show where we do our animal dance."
"Animal dance?"
"Yeah. It's for entertainment but we always have fun. For tonight, it's Sonic and Knuckles." You looked at the stage and saw that Sonic was up first. After the ceremony, Y/N was starting to get tired.
"That was amazing! But I'm slowly getting tired."
"That's fine. We're all about to head in anyway. You can stay with Sonic tonight. We'll check on you in the morning." Silver said.
"Alright. Goodnight." After everyone said goodnight, Sonic took Y/N to his tent and closed it up. Sonic shapeshifts into a wolf and lays down on the ground. Y/N didn't know where to sleep.
"You can sleep on me Y/N. My fur can keep you warm." Sonic said telepathy.
"Thanks Sonic." Y/N slowly lays down on his side, snuggles into his fur and falls asleep. In the middle of the night, Y/N was having trouble sleeping since Sonic kept snoring and howling in his sleep.
You tried to ignore it but it was impossible so you slowly got up and left his tent and walked towards a nearby lake. When Y/N saw Shadow, you felt a bit nervous about how he would react. He turned his head and looked at you.
"What are you doing up?" You didn't speak for a while until you said,
"I couldn't sleep. Sonic kept snoring."
"That faker always snores."
"What are you doing here?" Y/N asked as you sat down next to him.
"I couldn't sleep myself."
"How come I didn't see you at the ceremony?"
"I don't attend to their silly activities."
"Why not?"
"I prefer to be alone. Now look, just because Silver saved you and made you family, doesn't mean I should trust you. Your kind will never be trust worthy to me."
"I-I..."
"You may have fooled everyone else but you can't fool me. Now leave me alone."
"Shadow...."
"Go!" You froze for a bit but slowly stood up and head back to Sonic's tent. Shadow sighs to himself as he was now alone.
