You headed back towards the village and went to talk to Silver.
"Silver? Can we talk?"
"Sure. What's up?"
"How come you saved me if your people had a fight with mine?"
Silver stayed silent as he rubbed his neck.
"Well... It's been so many years since the incident and I thought I would explore the place until I noticed a fire. I figured if I saved you, maybe everyone could see people like you changed. Seems like it worked."
"Oh ok."
Silver pats your back.
"We're almost finished with your home."
"Thank you."
"No problem. Are you ready to continue to search for your animal spirit?"
"Well...I..."
"I'll help."
You both turned around and saw Shadow standing in front of you.
"Shadow?"
Shadow walked up to you.
"If you really are telling the truth about outsiders being good, I'll give it a chance."
"Really?"
Shadow nodded.
"Wow Shadow. I'm impressed." Silver said.
"Don't push it." He said with a glare.
Silver laughed nervously.
"Follow me." Shadow starts walking away.
"Good luck Y/N!" Silver said.
"Thanks."
When you arrived at the Tiger field, Shadow looked at you and said,
"To earn your Tiger spirit, you have to win a game of hide and seek."
"That doesn't sound so bad."
"At the camouflage area." He said as he pointed at the bushes and trees which were different colors.
"Oh..."
"Let me show you how it works." They walked towards the camouflage jungle side of the field.
His gems starts glowing as the whole jungle turns black and red.
"So you can change colors like a chameleon?"
"No. We blend in the colors. This is just a test. If you can find me here, you might earn your Tiger spirit."
"This looks impossible."
"Never said it was gonna be easy. Now close your eyes and count to 30."
You closed your eyes and started counting as Shadow turned into a tiger and went to go hide.
Once you finished counting, you looked at the jungle and noticed that Shadow was no longer next to you.
"Ready or not, here I come."
After about an hour, you finally found Shadow and looked at your arm to see if you have a symbol yet. It was still blank. You sighed and sat down as the jungle turned back to normal.
"Maybe I'm not meant to be a shapeshifter."
"Maybe, maybe not but you did try your best."
"But I do want to thank you for trusting me."
"Not fully but slowly."
You nodded and stood up.
"I'm gonna head back to the village."
"I'll join you. I'm heading their anyway."
They headed back to the village you watched everyone do their own thing.
"So Shadow? How does the seasons around here work?"
"Well in the village, it's a normal warm season. It rains time to time but for our animal spirits, we are all in different seasons."
"It also helps with finding food. Spring animals are in charge of growing plants and flowers."
"Summer animals are in charge of hunting and restoring energy."
"Autumn animals are in charge of extra hunting for the normal animals for hibernation."
"Winter animals are in charge of protecting and help feed the normal animals."
"How do the winter Shapeshifters stay warm?"
"Using their animal forms obviously. Also because they have the ability to adapt to the cold. But here, everyone can gather together whenever they want."
"That's very interesting."
"Yeah."
"Do you like shapeshifting?"
"I guess."
You nodded as you both became silent.
What's gonna happen next? Find out on Chapter 13. Have a great day. Author out ❤️❤️❤️
