Whether there were romantic feelings or not for this dumbass, all that entails had to happen so that he could have progressed with his life, but as well for Entia.

A year and a half out of highschool and the two were going on nearly 7 years of friendship, Leinad and Entia, the unstoppable friendship that will forever be bound by the fateful day the sandwich fell on the ground and tied them together so strongly... so they thought until this moment of their lives.

The both of them had slowly started to become adults, got jobs, and made other friends while seeing each other less and less.

It wasn't necessarily the amount of times that the two hadn't seen each other that much like back in middle school, it was the lack of an actual emotional connection the two had each time they met up for ramen or a frappuccino at their favorite cafe.

Entia immediately felt that her friend was no longer there for her no more, just some stranger that was coincidentally there talking to her about some game that they both happen to like.

What tears Entia most about her friendship with Leinad is that the very things she attempted to use to bind their friendship is exactly what distanced them.

She pondered about this for the longest but the things that she used were just materialistic.

Things that she felt no emotional connection to, but Leinad did, in fact he got very passionate and made it a hobby of his to do and make friends off of, which was off a fighting video game.

Entia was happy for him, but at the same time she saw Leinad flourish with these new hobbies of his.

Out of that, Entia grew envios and mad because of the more meaningful and endearing emotional connections he made with new people off the video game while she saw a side of Leinad she never knew of so she began to embrace the fact that perhaps the time was now close to cut him off as she lost connection with him long ago.

As for why it had just taken so long for Entia to finalize the cut off, she wasn't brave and enraged enough to do so.

So at first she then grew confused and overthinked the thoughts, "Am I just being selfish to want to have him all to myself instead of him focusing on all those people?" or "He does he deserve to be happy? Does this mean he was never even happy with me as his best friend all this year? Is this truly him just finally being happy?."

As you may have noticed already, with Entia, she always wonders people's purpose for her in her life, and if they can't fulfill one for her any more, then they must leave.

But also because she was jealous of the fact that Leinad was easily doing the one thing Entia struggled with all her life, making friends.

The mad mental torment grew, and the thoughts to cut off Leinad had begun to rationalize more and more throughout Entia's mind.

Of course Leinad could have helped and reassured her that he still wanted her around, it's just things were now different.

Thing is though, that very reassurance that Entia wanted such as having more time to process her emotions with Leinad to compromise, or at least let Leinad actually wanting to communicate to save their friendship, that was something Leinad never really was good at doing at even their prime needs to their friendships times, he was just a meat puppet to cry on for hours on end.

Entia will always appreciate the gestures and time she spent to be there for her, but she didn't need anyone to listen anymore, she needed a response.

"Hey! How was work? says Entia in the parking lot of the cafe Leinad and her would always go to.
