"It is a good day!" Yu Nabi exclaimed over the phone while watering her plants. "What is it? Is Jackson going back to China?" Joy asked over the phone. "Stop doing that. I never came to terms with that guy," Joy sighed over the phone. "I believe him. I love him and he loves me," Nabi convinced her friend. Joy sighed but Nabi continued, "Girl, be happy. I say to you the great day has come!"
"I know the great day has come but still you should think for the last time," Joy showed her genuine concern. Nabi shut the window after finishing with the plant's grooming while her phone was still held to her ear by her shoulder blade.
She went to the microwave oven and looked at the brownie being baked for the love of his life. She smiled at it. "Okay. I know. I know you speak for my good betterment. I know you want me to be happy but I'm happy anyway. And today I'll be even happier. This is different!" Nabi said taking out some tomatoes from the fridge to top them on the salad.
"You never had a single happy day in the years and you claim to be happy today?" Joy spat in rage. "Nabi, turn off the geyser!" Jackson screamed from the bathroom while taking his shower. Nabi heard him, immediately went towards the bathroom, and turned off the switch of the geyser outside the bathroom.
"Life is yours. I, being the person who knows you better than anyone else, will say what I want." Joy calmly explained herself. "He is a good person. You hardly know him. You would've said that to him when you met, but he's a changed man now," Nabi said when she suddenly heard meowing.
Her eyes immediately lit up. "Sugar?" she said grabbing the cat food from the kitchen shelf and going towards the door of her flat. "Nabi, you've said all kinds of lies to your family because of him. They don't even know that you dropped out to get this man to finish his studies. What if they learn that you're married? Imagine the consequences," Joy said while Nabi was walking down the stairs out of her building completely oblivious to the fact that she left her keys hanging inside the door.
"Don't worry, Joy. Everything will be decided today," Nabi assured her friend. She smiled brightly looking at the cat and quickly held the fluffy creature in her hands. She placed it on the main door of the building, crouching down herself, and fed her some cat food. "Hey, I'm still waiting here!!" Joy yelled over the phone.
"Let him get a passport today, become a citizen of South Korea, and then..." Nabi giggled at the thought. "Then what?" Joy asked in irritation. Nabi looked at the sky and shook her head. "Then everything will be different! He'll ask me to marry him."
Joy palmed her face and shook her head in disbelief but kept quiet. "Maybe he'll take me to his firm. Joy, imagine! Jackson and I might work at the same place! Isn't it wonderful?" Nabi exclaimed. "Okay but let me tell you. I'm still of the same opinion about him." Joy said shrugging.
"Okay. We will talk later. Come on!" Nabi said standing up straight. "Yu Nabi, last day Seokjin looked everywhere and asked about you. I request you please don't be late today!" Joy reminded her. Nabi hummed and hung up the call.
She got inside the building and climbed the stairs to reach her flat. She tried to turn the doorknob but realized that it was locked. Her eyes widen in fear and she banged the door thinking about the brownie she left in the oven.
-----------------------------------------
"The brownie didn't rise?" Jackson said coming to the dining table. "That's because I kept fiddling in front of the door for 30 minutes." Nabi pouted. "Come on! Don't be upset. We have been waiting for this day for the past 3 years!" Jackson said holding her hand and making her stand up.
"Yes! That's why it had to be perfect. We thought we can have a perfect breakfast today." Nabi said, dejected. "Okay. Okay. Do you remember what I promised you? What are we doing today?" Jackson said leaving her hands.
Nabi smiled at their plans. "Massage at one of the luxury hotels and then brunch and stuff." She said fiddling her fingers. Jackson smiled at her. "Exactly. I don't know if there will be time for that stuff. I can't promise." Jackson smirked at her.
She pushed his chest and motioned for the breakfast. "Let's hurry. We need to go!" Jackson said hurrying to the door. "But the breakfast?" Nabi asked in confusion. Jackson dashed back to the table stuffed a few pieces of tomato in his mouth and cupped her cheeks. "Let's go!" Nabi looked at the table but agreed with him anyway.
-----------------------------------------
"I can't imagine we are here!" Jackson exclaimed keeping his hands on his hips and entering further into the South Korean Embassy. "Are you ready?" He asked Nabi. She nodded at him with a nervous smile and asked him. "I'm ready. Are you?"
Jackson smiled at her and held her hand. "Hold my hand, my dear wife." Nabi giggled at his comment and looked at the cabin in front of them. They opened the door and went inside.
The Officer inside stood up and bowed at them. "Welcome, Ms. Nabi." He said to the girl. The couple bowed to him. "Hello, sir." He motioned for them to take a seat but Jackson pulled the chair for Nabi and smiled at her. "My wife." He said lovingly while Nabi was blushing heavily and took a seat. Jackson too sat on the chair and faces the officer.
Suddenly the door of his cabin opened and an Indian guy stood in the doorway. The Officer motioned for him to come later. "After! Later! You... later come. After... You know?" He said in broken English. The couple weirdly looked at each other and awkwardly smiled at the officer. The Indian guy closed the door and went away.
"I learned 6 different languages. The language that I spoke just now was Polish." The Officer said. "But... The guy was Indian?" Nabi asked him. He tensed up but smile anyway. "The guy might look like an Indian but... Anyways do not confuse."
Nabi chuckled at him and spoke, "We came here to solve Jackson's citizenship cases. Today we have completed 3 years from the date of the Wedding." Nabi looked at Jackson lovingly while he flaunted his hair at the Officer. The Officer put on his glasses and started looking for a file until he found the one and spoke something.
