31: Only Main Lead in your life

Jimin shrugged and continued. "That same day of our encounter, we got into an accident together and I had to take her back home. When I went to her home a picture caught my eye. It was a picture of Jackson and Nabi."

"I recognized him as the guy who kissed Suzy. I assumed that he was cheating on Nabi but at that time, I didn't bother. I was arrogant and unbothered back then." Jimin said.

"You are arrogant now as well," Yeonjun said wiggling his eyebrows at Jimin. Jimin glared at him and he jumped in horror.

"Please continue." Yeonjun squeaked and Jimin continued. "Later, she came to my office to apply for the position of my secretary but I didn't accept her because I didn't want her to work at a place where she will find her husband cheating on her so I rejected her.

Not only that but also the way she lied about graduating from university and being unmarried. I didn't want her to take up the job.

But due to the viral scandal, I had no choice but to ask her to pretend to be my fake girlfriend in front of Mr. Yuta in exchange for giving her a chance to be my secretary." Jimin stated.

"Bro, wait. Let me grab some more snacks. This flashback is too long." Yeonjun said and walked over to the shelf.

"I also saw her peeping in on Jackson and Suzy. That was how I met her. I didn't pay much attention to that but now I realize why she was doing that." Yeonjun added while dropping in the chips into the bowl.

Jimin nodded at him but then continued narrating again. "That night when she pretended to be my girlfriend. She stood up for me and convinced Mr. Yuta to give me the project. So I gave her a chance to prove herself. Later she was excellent in her field in the office environment so I didn't complain.

Gradually I started developing feelings for Nabi. It was as if I couldn't resist her. I wanted her. I needed her.

I observed how she places everyone else over herself. I slowly started falling for her deeply but I knew it was wrong since she was already married and was naive enough to still love her husband thinking that he is her fate in love.

Still, I chose to be her friend and silently stay beside her and to protect her, to make her realize how precious she is and how much happy she deserves to be in her life."

He turned to look at Yeonjun with a cold look. "And now that she admitted that she is over with him. I will do everything to make her get over him and find happiness in her life.

I don't fucking care if I get hurt in the end. I will not let go of her at any cost. I will make her realize her true worth and make her feel what real love is all about. I'll twist her fate and make it her life's biggest fantasy," Jimin said sternly with determination gleaming in his eyes.

"Bro, this is not love. You have crazy love for her." Yeonjun said and Jimin threw his head back.

He was looking at the ceiling. "I have crazy love for her indeed. I am crazy for her." He said and Yeonjun patted his back.

"I want another glass!" Nabi slammed her hands and slurred, suddenly moving her head up from the table.

Nabi was crying badly while listening to Yeonjun. She looked at him with swollen and red eyes, sniffling her nose.

"He knew all along?" Nabi asked him and Yeonjun sighed before getting up from his chair and walking over to where Nabi was sitting. He embraced her head softly.

"He loves you a lot, Nabi. I wasn't supposed to say you all this but I just want you to know how much effort he is putting on for you. Please try to put effort into yourself as well." He said stroking her head.

Nabi was crying on his chest and was having trouble breathing. "You know, I thought Jackson was the male lead in my life," Nabi confessed to him.

He pulled out of the hug and wiped her tears with his hands. He deeply stared into her eyes and smiled at her.

"I'm sorry but Jackson is not the male lead in your life." He said and Nabi frowned at him.
"Then who is it? Jimin?" She asked.

He shook his head at her while chuckling. "There is no separate male lead. There is only one lead here. The main lead. And that is you. You are the only main lead in your life, Nabi." He said.

Nabi smiled at him, tears rolling down her face. Yeonjun made her stand up, took her to Jimin's bedroom, and made her sit on the bed.

"I am miserable, Yeonjun. You don't deserve a friend like me. I disappointed you. I am so sorry." She said crying and burying her face in her hands.

Yeonjun sighed and patted her head. "Hey, you are one of the best things that happened to me. You are the best friend I ever had and will ever have. Never think so low of yourself. I met my girlfriend because of you too. Can you imagine how important you are in my life? Cheer up!" He said patting her head.

Suddenly they heard the main door unlocking, signaling that someone has come. He patted her head a few more times. 

"I am leaving, alright? I love you, Nabi. Be happy or else Joy will kill me saying that I didn't take care of you. Jimin will be here soon. Don't blame yourself and smile. Obey your best friend, alright?" He said and Nabi nodded while sobbing.

He sighed but walked over to the door. He opened the door to find Jimin serving some porridge in a bowl. He was wearing his office shirt, without a coat. He looked up at Yeonjun and raised his eyebrows.

"How is she?" Jimin asked him. Yeonjun shook his head. "Miserable. That poor girl is blaming herself for everything. She is crying badly. What happened there?" Yeonjun said.

"That fucking weasel is not letting her go. He is now forcing her to get back with him." Jimin said, gritting his teeth.

"That fucking rascal. What about Suzy? Wasn't he with her?" Yeonjun slammed his hand on the table. "He said that they weren't dating." Jimin shrugged.

"That girl probably left him and now he wants our Nabi back. Fucking bastard, I am never letting him touch my best friend." Yeonjun barked and turned to walk towards the door.

"Anyways I am going back to the office. Take care of yourself. Don't break down in front of her. We need to be strong for her. I know you will take care of her well so I am stopping Joy from coming here. I'll explain things to her, don't worry." Yeonjun said and hugged Jimin.

Jimin made a disgusted face at him and pushed him away. "I know you enjoy my hugs, bro!" Yeonjun said winking at him before walking away.

Jimin sighed and took the tray in his hands. He walked over to his room and opened it. He peeked inside to look at Nabi staring into nothingness.

He smiled at her and walked over to her before softly asking her. 

"Nabi, baby, are you feeling sick?"
