16: She can sacrifice everything

"Jimin, I think it's okay to call you Jimin. You are older than Nabi and probably look like you are the same age as mine. Well, moving on. Nabi called me up to bring some of her clothes over here. But when I came here it started raining so I decided to stay for the night since you had an extra room." Joy shrugged.

"And Mr. Park, when you fainted Nabi called me and we brought you back to your home. I helped you get changed and since it started raining, I decided to stay for the night as well." Yeonjun explained.

"Is this a house or a hotel?" Jimin shook his head in disbelief. "Nabi insisted that she will monitor you the whole night so she was in your bedroom at night. But did she sleep there?" Yeonjun questioned him.

"She had work to do so she probably fell asleep on the chair. When I last checked upon her she was reading some papers while sitting on a chair beside his bed." Joy said to Yeonjun who nodded at her.

Jimin looked away while blushing recalling that Nabi didn't actually sleep in the chair last night.

"Are you alright now, Mr. Park?" Yeonjun asked him. He looked at him and nodded his head.

"I am feeling better. Don't keep calling me Mr. Park, this is not the office. Just call me Jimin. Also thank you for yesterday." Jimin said with a grateful look on his face.

After a while, all of them gathered to have breakfast. Nabi was already sitting on a chair and Yeonjun was about to sit beside her but Jimin quickly walked past him and sat next to her.

Yeonjun shrugged and sat next to Joy on the opposite side facing Nabi. "Jimin, you can take a rest today," Nabi said while eating her sandwich. Jimin smiled at her but shook his head.

"I am fine. Thank you so much for yesterday but the release date of the book that Mr. Yuta invested in is approaching. I already took a rest yesterday. I am fit today." He said and wiped the mayonnaise from the corner of Nabi's lips with a tissue.

"Yes, Nabi and Jimin are working hard for it! Fighting! Both of my best friends are amazing!" Yeonjun cheered.

"Best friends?" Jimin frowned at him while passing the egg yolk to Nabi's plate. And as a reflex, Nabi passed the egg white to his plate.

"Yes, you are my best friend now as well!" Yeonjun said gleefully. "Am I your best friend as well?" Joy asked him.

"Of course, darling! If you want to date already then I'm on for it. I'm already into older women. But let's start with friendship first." Yeonjun said while wrapping his hand around her shoulder.

Joy blushed at him and pushed him off her. "But why do you want to become friends if you want to date her?" Jimin asked him.

Yeonjun chuckled at him. "Every relationship starts with a friendship. You can't become lovers if you aren't friends at first. You need to get to know a person well to decide if you want to spend a life with them. Even if it is for a week you need to be friends." Yeonjun said while winking at Joy. Jimin looked at Nabi.

We started pretty rough, then became friends and now I have fallen for you. He thought while looking at her.

"Oh, Yeonjun is a grown man!" Nabi mocked him. "Of course I am, you fool! I am older than you so I understand love better! You're the youngest and probably the baby among the three of us." He argued back.

Jimin resumed eating but suddenly Nabi's phone started ringing. She glared at the phone. "Now who is disturbing my breakfast?" She said while taking her phone and walking away from the table.

Joy sighed deeply. "You surely do understand love better than her." Joy said while looking at Yeonjun. "She thinks about everyone around her. She can sacrifice everything for the person she cares for. But she doesn't understand that she needs to be taken care of as well. She thinks that love is all about giving selflessly. She doesn't expect anything in return and ends up getting hurt always." She said and Jimin listened to her silently while chewing.

"Does she have a boyfriend?" Yeonjun questioned and Jimin's ears perked up. Joy shook her head before saying. "She doesn't have a boyfriend instead she-" "Guys!!!!!" Nabi yelled while running to the table. "What?" Yeonjun choked on his eggs.

"I got the dealership!" Nabi yelled and their eyes widen. "The one who was talking about these past few days?" Joy asked while standing up. Nabi nodded her head and looked at Jimin.

Jimin and Yeonjun were looking at her in delight. "One in San Francisco and the other one in Paris! They accepted to market the books there!" Nabi said and Joy ran to her and engulfed her in a bone-crushing hug. "My little baby sister is amazing!"

Yeonjun was running to her as well but Jimin pushed him off and ran past him to shove Joy away from her and embrace her in his arms. He lifted her from the ground and she giggled in his embrace.

"Oh my God, Nabi! You did it! I can't believe we are going international because of you! OMG! Nabi, I am so happy!" Jimin said, spinning her in the air, burying his face in the crook of her neck, squeezing her figure while Nabi wrapped her legs around his waist and hugged him back.

He pulled his body back to look into her eyes. "Our company is marketing books overseas now!" He said and she smiled at him while nodding.

Suddenly they heard someone clear their throat and both of them looked at Joy and Yeonjun smirking at them. Nabi looked at Jimin and her eyes widen.

She quickly got away from his grip and blushed hard, and so did Jimin. While the duo was giving them an evil grin at the scene they just witnessed.

AFTER A FEW HOURS

"She took him back to his home and probably took care of him," Felix informed Suzy. Her blood was boiling in rage.

"This new secretary is getting on my nerves. How dare she didn't inform me? What makes her think that she can take decisions by herself?" Suzy said while slamming her hands on the desk.

"I can't believe I am losing Jimin. I need to do something about this. And this frog is pestering me a lot these days as well. He keeps on smiling at me, gives me coffee and food. I hate him." Suzy said while palming her forehead.

"By frog are you indicating Jackson?" Felix asked. "Who else, then? He is a bother!" Suzy said to him.

"Anyways my job is done. I am going back. I want to take Winter out on a date but damn she is so shy to even look at me. So fucking cute!" Felix said before walking out of her cabin.

LATER IN THE DAY

Suzy walked into Jimin's cabin. "Hey, Jimin! I heard that you fainted in the office yesterday. I am so sorry I couldn't help you. Nobody informed me about it." Suzy pouted at him.

Jimin smiled while looking at his paper. He looked up to meet her gaze and shook his head. And then he said something that instantly washed the smile off Suzy's face

"It is completely fine, Suzy. I had someone to take care of me so I didn't feel the pain."

Suzy is the villain but she looks like an angel. I can't believe I have to make her the evil one here. But she is the only one whom I thought can portray this role well.
