Jack walked into Takumi's office and took a seat. Takumi entered behind him and shut the door and sat in the chair across from him.
"You know why I brought you in here?" Takumi asked.
"To suspend me from work for something you caused?" Jack replied in a sly tone.
"Ok smartass get out, because of your carelessness you nearly caused harm to the other scientists!" Takumi raised his voice, unamused by Jack's response.
"I know damn well you were the one who set the experiment free for some sick test!" Jack stood slamming his hands on the desk.
Takumi reached for the phone on his desk, "You have 5 seconds to get out of my office before I phone security" Jack scoffed and turned to leave and as he walked out the door Takumi spoke "I'll see you back here in one week, understood?"
"Yeah whatever" Jack said in a stern voice slamming the door on his way out.
Jack entered the coffee shop and Cyrus noticed he seemed upset.
"Well you don't look very happy, something happen?" Cyrus asked grabbing a cup and began pouring coffee into it for Jack.
"I got suspended for a week from work for something i never did.." He walked over and sat down at his usual spot.
"I'm guessing Takumi did something and used you as an escape goat?"
"Yup" Jack sipped the coffee.
"That man always rubbed me the wrong way, something off about him ya know?" Cyrus leaned on the counter.
"Tell me about it, he makes me wanna do fireable things to him"
"Well don't go doing anything stupid, ya know? Don't need to lose my best customer to an assault charge"
"Yeah yeah"
BACK WITH TAKUMI
"The tests were a success, with just a bit more tweaking we will be able to move forward with the plan to make super soldiers" Takumi said with excitement, he was once again in a video conference call.
The same woman from before "Excellent, so where is this mystery man who is spearheading the project anyways?" She asked.
"Ah well you see I sent him home early or the job well done" Takumi lied with a smile.
"I see, well next time do please have him contact us for this man deserves a great reward"
"Don't worry, I will pass the message along" Takumi ended the call. "Oh I'll pass the message along... In one week's time he will know just how much his work helped"
BACK WITH JACK
Jack sat at his computer and began to research more about Takumi, "there has to be something on him I can use against him" He thought to himself. Jack looked at the time, it read 1AM, "God damn... When did it get so late..." Jack noticed something at the bottom of the search page he was using. "What's this?" Jack clicked on it and it opened a news story. Jack read it out loud to himself. "Former lab worker, Jeff King fired after injecting co-worker with experimental fluid that caused them instant cardiac arrest" Jack looked at the picture and realized it was Takumi. "No fucking way... This is it..." Jack printed out the article and rushed over to Cyrus's place.
Jack began banging on the door.
Cyrus answered, "God damn it Jack, do you know what time it is?" Cyrus was half asleep and groggy.
"Take a look at this!" Jack handed him the news story print out.
Cyrus looked it over before speaking again, "Dear god... This... Do you think?..."
Jack slowly nodded, "Its only a matter of time before something horrible happens..."
