The Day Hope Died Finale

"So glad of you to join me" Jeff said as Jack and Gutz walked into the warehouse.
"Where is Cyrus!?" Jack shouted.
"Now, now. Be patient for me. You will see him soon enough" Jeff approached them out of the darkness of the dimly lit warehouse. "Plus, I have a surprise for you, but it's not ready yet unfortunately... As well as if you think you can stop my plan, that's well in motion, by coming here to rescue your precious side piece Cyrus, you're mistaken"
Jack fired a shot at Jeff and Jeff casually stood there as the bullet whipped by him. "Shut up! I don't care what you have to say! I will stop you here and now!" Jack shouted in anger
"How very rude, if you wanted to play... All you had to do was ask!" A merc dropped Jeff a scythe from a balcony above him, Jeff caught it out of the air and spun it around the blade's tip scratching the ground causing sparks off the cement. "Let's see how much of a hero you are!" Jeff smirked.
Jack lunged at Jeff, his blade clashing with the handle of the scythe. Gutz attack from the side, he rushed dagger first at Jeff. Jeff shived Jack away and slamed the handle into Gutz's side, Gitz was sent skidding across the ground.
"How very rude" Jeff sighed.
"You bastard!" Jack aimed his gunblade and shot. Jeff casually jumped to the side and used the handle of his scythe to lunge himself at Jack, Their blades clashing. Gutz slowly got up, his vision blurry as he tried to regain focus.
"Come on damn it... Your big bro needs you!" Gutz thought to himself as he stumbled and rushed Jeff from behind.
Gutz stabbed Jeff in the back and Jeff gasped in pain as he whipped around focusing his attention on Gutz.
"You fucking pest!" Jeff slammed the handle into Gutz's stomach causing him to double over in pain. Jeff kneed Gutz in the face than grabbed him by the neck and threw him into the ground. Gutz hit the floor with a loud thud and a crack. Gutz's limp body slide across the floor, his daggers clattering to the ground.
"Gutz!" Jack ran over to Gutz to try and help him.
A merc ran onto the balcony, "King! The specimen is ready!" They shouted.
"Good, release him, let's show this hero what defiance earns a quote on quote hero" Blood dripped into the floor from Jeff's back.
A creature barreled into the room and growled at the sight of Jack. The creature was tall and pitbull like but unnatural and stood upright like a human, almost anthro like.
"Say hello to my surprise I made just for you... Cyrus... Or well what's left of him, he is not but my puppet now, how tragic your secret lover isn't yours anymore."
Jack slowly stood up from where Gutz lay, "I'll kill you... I'll fucking kill you where you stand! You fucking sick monster! First for those innocent people raped and killed outside! Second for Gutz and third... FOR CYRUS!" Jack readied his blade. "Only one of us is leaving here alive!" Jack shook with anger and hate.
Jeff clapped, "bravo Mr. Hero, but I hate to inform you, that includes killing Cyrus... Are you prepared to do that?"
Jack shot a round past Jeff's face, the fate deciding fight began.
Jeff pointed at Jack, "I want him alive, do it as you see fit."
Cyrus attacked with blinding speed punching Jack in the gut. Jack coughed up blood from the force of the punch and staggered.
"C-Cyrus.. you... You gotta fight it!" Jack attacked using the blunt end of the gunblade, slamming it into Cyrus's side.
Cyrus yelped in pain then retaliated by biting Jack. Jack began punching Cyrus trying to get him to let go. "Cyrus! You have to remember!" Jack winced in pain as Cyrus bit harder causing blood to pour from the bite."I-I'm sorry..." Jack shot Cyrus in the leg and he yelped and let go. Jack held his shoulder trying to slow the bleeding. "F-fuck..." Jack's vision went blurry. "I... I can't die here..." Jack readied his blade and lunged at Cyrus stabbing him. Cyrus shrieked in pain and struggled. Jack pulled his blade back and slashed at Cyrus. Cyrus jumped back before lunging forward kicking Jack in the face knocking him to the ground. Cyrus began to stomp on Jack, with each stomp Jack yelled in pain.
"I need him alive damnit!" Jeff shouted.
Cyrus looked at Jeff sheepishly.
"J... Jackpot..." Jack aimed at Cyrus's face and dumped all his rounds into him before blacking out.
Cyrus fell to the floor limp, a pool of blood forming around him.
Jeff pointed at Jack, "capture him!"
A group of mercs rushed out carrying Jack away and leaving Gutz and the corpse of Cyrus to rot.

SOME TIME LATER

Spell rushed in with a limping Abby not too far behind.
"No..." Spell looked at the scene in horror.
"Spell!" Abby shouted from over Gutz's body. "He's still breathing!"
