Jack looked around but everything around him was dark.
"Hello?" His voice echoed through the darkness.
"Where the fuck am I?..."
"Welcome Jack" a voice spoke through the darkness.
Jack looked around and saw no one, "Who are you?" Jack asked.
"I am you... Or rather... I was once you." The voice replied, it was slow and low.
"What do you mean?" Jack continued to look around.
"I am you, and you are me... We are one." A figure slowly walked towards Jack from the darkness but before Jack could make it out he felt tired and his vision faded.
Jack shot awake breathing heavy and covered in sweat. He looked around and saw that Cyrus was up and about.
"You idiot you're supposed to be resting!"
"I'm the idiot? You're the one who collapsed before you even made it to the front door!"
They both paused and let out a small laugh.
"Well at least we're alive"
Cyrus nodded. "Barely, but yeah. So what's our next move? No one is gonna believe us if we try to tell them what happened."
"My younger brother... Guts, he might be of help."
"Wait you have a younger brother?"
"Yes, though he is rather quiet and shy."
"I see... Well we should get going than."
"Yeah, we've rested enough."
"Yeah, its been almost a week, you will be returning to the facility soon."
"... I know, I dread it."
Jack got off the couch headed for the door. "I'll drive."
"Right."
They headed out, got in the car and made their way to where Guts was living.
As they pulled into the drive way, Guts was seen sitting in the porch playing his acoustic guitar. Guts was short, about 5 foot 3 and wore a black plain face mask, his hair was fluffy, came down to his eyes and covered his eyes. Behind his hair was beautiful baby blue eyes.
Jack got out of the car, "hey little bro! Long time no see."
Guts looked up from his guitar and smiled from behind his facemask. "Big bro!" He shouted happily before running over and hugging Jack.
"It's been so long."
"Yeah it has, hey meet my buddy Cyrus."
Jack motioned to Cyrus who walked around the front of the car. Guts shyly waved to Cyrus who gave a wave back.
"We were wondering if you could help us with something."
"Yeah, what do you need big bro?"
"Well we were wondering if you could help us infiltrate the facility I work at and find some information in my bosses office."
"... You know I gave up doing espionage..."
"Yeah I know... But if you help me out I'll buy you a month's worth of pocky."
Guts looked up at Jack and through his hair, his eyes lit up with excitement.
"Deal!" Guts shouted happily. "Let me go get what I need real quick." Guts quickly ran into the house.
"He's a cheery one, isn't he?" Cyrus chuckled.
"Yeah, but I love him, without him I'd probably be in a terrible place."
"So he's the one who helped you?"
"Yup... We're not actuslly brothers either, we're just that close."
"I see."
Guts came out of the house with a backpack. "Let's get going than, I can't wait to have so much pocky!"
"Just don't eat it all at once this time, you'll get sick again."
"Yeah yeah, I know."
They got in the car and headed for the facility as night fell.
"So where is the entrance we are going through?" Guts asked scanning the outside of the building.
"There is a maintenance access in the back that leads to a set of stairs and down those stairs goes to the labs."
"Oh that's easy stuff, picking a couple locks is child's play."
"Alright It's go time, Cyrus, you stay outside the door and keep watch."
Cyrus nodded. "Got it."
They got out of the car and headed to the back of the building. Guts got to work picking the lock and in only a few seconds the door was open.
"Got it."
"Right, good luck Cyrus."
"You guys too"
Jack and Guts descended into the dimly lit staircase disappearing from Cyrus's view.
A russle from a nearby patch of bushes was heard.
Cyrus looked in the direction watching carefully.

Guts finished picking the lock on the second door opening the way to the labs. "It's open."
"Good, I'll go first." Jack slipped into the labs with Guts close behind, the facility was quiet.
Guts spoke softly. "This will be a piece of cake."
"Well, let's not jump the gun. We still need to find something of use and get out."
"Right."
Jack leaned around the corner and looked down the hall for any security guards. "Clear." Jack silently moved down the hall till he reached the next corner. He looked around it to see a guard passing through and turning left down a hall.
"So where is this room located?."
"Other side of the facility from the door we came out of."
"Damn... So we got a bit of a hike?"
"Pretty much."
Jack moved down the hall checking for guards as he went.
Jack's phone began to vibrate and he looked at it. "Cyrus?... This can't be good..."
Jack answered it and an all to familiar voice came over the phone.
"Coming back to work early are you?"
