"It's been 6 months since then... Where the hell did you go big bro?..." Gutz was lost in thought when Spell entered the room.
"Any leads on Jack's whereabouts?" Spell walked up to Gutz and Abby who were at desks analyzing data.
"Nothing" Abby sighed
"Not entirely true. We may have a lead, but the probability of it actually being useful is less than 10%" Gutz pointed to his computer screen.
Spell looked it over and thought for a moment. "What's the location?"
"Well, punching in the coordinates gets us an abandoned military base. But instead of being abandoned, the 10TH Grenadier Division, 10GD or The Mercs, are held up in it. Possibly guarding something important judging by the number" Gutz zoomed in on drone footage of the base.
"I see..." Spell thought for a moment.
"Gutz, I want you to infiltrate the base, since you have a history of espionage. We will monitor you from here." Spell took Gutz's seat when he got up.
"If it helps find my big bro then sure." Gutz headed out to make his way to the mission objective.
After some time Gutz had arrived near the base. "Alright I'm at the location, has activity changed at all?"
"Nope, there is a gap in the fence on the eastern side, from there, there is one guard stationed in front of a small emergency exit, you can make an entry from there." Abby's voice was heard over the earpiece Gutz wore.
"Got it, moving in." Gutz made his war round to the fence on the east side and squeezed his way through the fence, Gutz used the supply crates for cover as he made his way towards the emergency exit. He slowly snuck up to the guard and grabbed him. He cupped his hand over his mouth and suffocated him just enough to knock him out before gently laying him down out of sight.
"Hang on while I hack into the system and disable the alarm for the door and take control of the cameras." Abby spoke and after a couple minutes her job was done. "Alright, you're good to go."
"Got it." Gutz quietly made his way in and down the stairs into the base.
"We will be watching you from the cameras we took control of." Spell spoke.
"Alright." As Gutz made his way through the base, him, Abby and Spell began talking.
"Hey, you guys wanna hear a joke?" Spell asked.
"Oh not this shit again, no dad jokes please." Abby was annoyed already.
"Alright, let's here." Gutz said.
"Don't encourage him you buffoon." Abby snapped.
"Alright, alright. Why did the pretzel go to the hospital?" Spell asked.
"I don't know, why?" Gutz responded.
"Because he was a-salted." Spell began to chuckle.
An audible smack was heard through the earpiece.
"Take this seriously you clow!" Abby shouted.
"Alright, alright, damn... Get a sense of humor"
"What was that!?"
"Nothing."
"I found a makeshift command room of some kind." Gutz interrupted them.
"This could be useful, we'll watch you from the cameras." Abby responded.
Gutz peeked the door and upon seeing no one, made his way in and began rummaging through documents.
"I found something." Gutz immediately began reading the document. "After 15 test subjects have been secured one of which being Jack. They are to be taken to a redacted location for testing to begin. Upon completion of the test they will be set free, but upon failure... The world will fall..." Gutz's heart sank as he read that last line.

Somewhere Unknown

Jack slowly woke up. "Wha?..."
"Oh good you're alive!" A stranger stood over Jack.
"Where am I?..." Jack was dazed and confused.
"We all would Like to know, the name's Steven." Fenrir held out a hand to Jack.
Jack took it and stood up. "What do you mean?" He asked.
"Take a look around you." Steven responded.
Jack looked around to see 13 other people in the dimly lit room.
Suddenly a voice came over the intercom of the building. "Glad to see everyone is finally awake, good. Shall we begin the experiment"
