As they walked through the halls looking for survivors Jack looked at the Jason and spoke. "So uhhh, you doing ok?" Jack asked.
Jason slowly nodded.
"What happened to your parents?... If you don't mind me asking..."
Jason spoke softly. "They died protecting me... Our house was raided but soldiers and... They..." Jason's voice trailed off.
"Hey it's ok, you don't gotta tell me if it's too much." Jack immediately responded.
Jason nodded slowly again.
"Hey Jack! Natasha found another one, she is currently patching up their wound." Steven shouted from down the hall.
"Oh! Good!" Jack hurried over to lend a hand.
Jason watched as Jack jogged down the hall towards Steven and Natasha. Jason kept walking towards them before noticing a room with the door slightly open. Jason slowly approached it and peered through the crack to see a dark dusty room. He slowly made entry feeling for a light switch and when he turned it on he was met with another Beastmaster. Jason slowly backed out the door as the Beastmaster yawned and laid it's head back down to sleep.
"Come on Jason!" Jack shouted. "We're moving to the next area!"
Jason nodded and hurried to them.
"I saw another one of those creatures... A Beastmaster was it?" Jason spoke softly. "It just kinda looked at me like a dog and went back to sleep."
"Hmmm... Good to know, so it seems they are docile unless provoked." Jack took a mental note of the information.
A young woman approached them with haste. "We found a good spot to setup a makeshift safe zone for now till we can find a better place to setup."

Jack nodded. "Good, than we will lead the wounded there and setup a watch."

The young woman nodded and led the way and after some time they reached the area, it was a Cafeteria, or what was once a Cafeteria.
"Ok, Natasha, find a place to setup shop to tend to the wounded and have a place for them to rest." Jack pointed to Steven.
"Steven, you can help lead the scouts in finding supplies and what not and Jason, with me, we will be the first on guard duty."
Jason nodded and headed towards the entrance.
After sometime of getting setup everyone except for Jack and Jason went to sleep.
"So, do you have any siblings?" Jack asked.
"No, I was an only child, what about you?" Jason didn't seem as shy since it was just the two of them.
"Yes, one younger brother. He's probably searching for me right now on the other side."
"Well.. That's good." Jason let out a half smile.
"I'm sorry about your parents..." Jack said softly.
"It's... It's ok... I'm just shaken about it still... That's trauma you don't easily recover from."
"Yeah, I bet."
As the night went on, they continued to talk and to get to know one another till it was time for a shift change on guard duty.
"Thanks uhhh What's your name?" Jack asked the older gentleman.
"Just call me Sabin." Sabin let out a smile.
"Right, thank you Sabin for leading the 4th shift of guard duty."
"Yeah, don' mention it bud."
With that, Jack and Jason went off to bed.
