A Rooftop Snogging

Reminder this is a short with no exact ties to any of the other stories. Only inspired by Arcane. We are jumping a bit back to just after Jin'x rocket attack...

Caitlyn's POV

Jinx had taken so much from me. She had hurt Vi in a way only she could. Jinx was her only sister, family, her responsibility and her only hope that got her through her unfathomable stay at Stillwater. I hated her for what she had done.

I needed to protect Vi from her. And protect Vi from the council, if they knew Jinx was her sister they'd surely think she had something to do with it.

I kept her close and asked her to lay low for a while with me. My father knew she was staying with us and that was it. He believed us and he trusted us. Even though he was in so much pain for losing my mother he wanted to be there for us too. He had the servants set a room up for Vi across from mine. And he took his place on the council. He started to persuade them not to retaliate against Zaun, that this was an act by one troubled individual. He kept them at bay for now.

Vi hated not doing anything. I didn't have to return to work this week so I just stayed with her all day. We talked a lot. She told me about her life and I tried to tell her stories of mine, but I felt too privileged in my circumstances to share much. I just listened to her. She had endured so much. I wanted to take it all away.

I decided she needed a happy day, something totally different to keep her mind off of things. Besides, Jinx hadn't been seen since the incident.

"Vi, we should go out. Get dressed!" I smiled knocking on her door.

"Huh? Mmmm..." shit she was still asleep.

"Well when you're ready just let me know."

I could hear her shuffle to the door. She opened it rubbing her eye with a little yawn.

"Wait you want to take me out Cupcake?" She grinned.

"Oh shut up." I pushed her shoulder. We laughed a little.

"How could I say no to that?" She smirked. "Just give me a bit to get ready."

"Alright but don't take too long." I waited impatiently in my room.

She came out of the shower in just her underwear and bra drying her hair back and forth. I couldn't help but stare at her. She was stunning and strong. Her muscles showed as she walked. She caught me staring. Grinned. And went into her room leaving the door open.

"Ya know I don't have much to wear. Does it matter?" She said looking in her closet then looking back to me knowing I was still completely checking her out.

"Well I was thinking we could fix that."

"Oh no, I don't really..."

"No you don't really have a choice this time none of my things suit you..."

"Oh, so you thought of me in your clothes huh?" She raised an eyebrow.

"Stop... let's just go. Come on I'll make it fun." I brushed my bangs behind my ear.

"Ugh alright if you promise to make it fun." She chuckled and threw a hoodie on then some product threw her hair. "Hey can we get more of this stuff? I like it."

"Hmm yeah I like you too." I muttered softly a bit dazed at her fixing her hair. I was unconsciously biting my lip.

"Huh?"

"Oh Nothing! Are you ready yet?" I blushed a little.

She shook her head, "yeah sure. Let's do this."

"Great!" I grabbed her hand and drug her out the door.

"Whoa slow down Cupcake, are you a little excited?" She grinned at me.

"Come on you're usually the one bouncing off the rooftops. No way I'm too fast for you."

"Nope. But ya know it would be fun if you tried-"

"Oh..." I paused as she launched herself up onto a balcony from the side of the building below. She stretched her hand out to me.

"Come on." She grinned. I hesitated slightly then held on.

She brought me up to the roof and then on to the next and the next. I was sort of getting the hang of this. We giggled, this was kind of fun. Terrifying but fun. We dashed together for a while until she bounced a ways down to the next roof and rolled.

"No. Way. Vi -"

"I've got you Cupcake. Come on, I'll catch you..."

"Mmmm" a bit my lower lip, "are you sure?"

She nodded yes.

I stepped back then took a running leap. She caught me but I'm a bit bigger than her. We tumbled and rolled a little and just laughed. On the ground she held me tight and I gazed down to her eyes then her lips. She did the same. My heart was jumping out of my chest.

"Vi-"

She kissed me.
I kissed her back.

What a rush. She was wonderful. Strong. Loving. I just wanted her to hold me like this in her powerful arms. Please don't let go. I pulled back slightly to take in what she looked like.

"I told you I'd catch you." She put my hair behind my ear for me.

"Mmm yes, you did." I looked down at her then her chest. Ours heaving together in unison.

"I've got you Caitlyn." She grabbed my chin up bringing her face to mine.

We kissed a little more and just stayed there for a while.

We let the whole world around us fade away.
