([A/T] = Adeptus title) ([A/N] = Adeptus name) ([Y/N] = Your name)
Your POV:
Hello, my name is... well, I go by many names. My official title is [A/T], some call me [A/N], and my closest ones call me [Y/N]. This is my story, hope you will find it interesting.
Just my luck. Of course there had to be a meeting today, today of all days. I sighed out of annoyance. I was on my way to Mt. Aocang, that was where all our meetings were held. Today was the worst day a meeting could ever occur, do you know why? Because today was the one day Morax had given me some time to myself. Some time to relax, to sit down and take a deep breath. I really needed that break. I hadn't slept in weeks and you might be thinking 'but Yakshas don't need sleep' even though that is technically true, we Yakshas still need rest, our bodies can't go on forever. Rest was the one thing I was lacking besides social skills.
That break was now gone because of this meeting. I really hope it was important...
And important it sure was.
I finally reached Mt. Aocang. Surprisingly enough I was the first one there. Weird. I sat down and rested my body a little. It was only for a little while until I felt someone touch my shoulder. I immediately stood up, tuned around, out of reflexes I grabbed the persons neck and lifted them up. The person I had violently lifted up, grabbed my arm on their neck and tried to break free. They sounded uncomfortable and surprised at the same time.
But then I finally saw their face clearly. it was.. Alatus.
His face was uncomfortably scrunched up, and he had one eye closed. His breath was shaky and rigged. As soon as I realized it was him I widened my eyes and let him go. When he touched the ground again his hand immediately flew up to hold around his neck while he was trying to stabilize his breathing.
"What- what was that for!?" he managed to blurt out.
I didn't know what to say. I was completely stumped. Why did I do that?! God damn it, reflexes.
"My apologies, I didn't know it was you. I just--...acted on reflex. Are- are you hurt?"
I tried to get closer to him but he stopped me by putting his free hand up in the air.
"no... no I am fine." his breathing was normal again and he straightened his back and glared daggers at me.
"forgive me, Alatus. I am just- exhausted.."
his glare softened at my words, "I forgive you, I know you have been feeling fatigued lately. You should really get some rest." he said and crossed his arms to, probably, seem stern.
Xiao/Alatus POV:
The others had called for a meeting at Mt. Aocang. They said it was important. I hope it was important for their sake... otherwise it would be a waste of my time, and I do not like wasting my time. Before they had called for a meeting I was out patrolling as usual but i got side-tracked by some demons so I got pretty far away from Jueyun Karst. I was running as fast as I could, because I don't like to be late.
It took a while but I finally reached Mt. Aocang. As I suspected I wasn't the first but then again at least I wasn't the last. Upon further inspection I noticed that it was [A/N] who had been the first one there, they were sitting ready by the table presumably waiting for the others. When I got closer I saw that they had their eyes closed. Maybe they were resting? I had heard from Rex Lapis that they had been exhausting themselves. Maybe they truly were resting, but then again it really didn't seem like [A/N] to rest out in the open like this. I decided to walk over and interact with them. When I touched them, they immediately reacted, it caught me off guard, they tuned around and grabbed me by the neck. I was struggling under their grip, and in a desperate attempt to break free, I tried to grab their arm and forcefully remove it but it wasn't doing anything.
When I got a good look at them their gaze was piercing and cold, almost like ice. Their eyes were glowing. I kept struggling and my breathing-pattern was getting uneven. panic. It was rushing though my body like cold flames, started at my stomach and then it was rapidly spreading throughout my body. Then, suddenly, the look in [A/N]'s eyes changed. Their eyes widened and I could see the confusion and panic written all over their face. They let go of my throat and set me down.
I, then, with my own hand held around my throat while bending over. I was panting, trying to get my breathing in control.
"What- what was that for!?" I barely managed to blurt out.
They looked frightened, probably of themselves. They kept opening their mouth and then shutting it again, like they didn't know what to say.
"My apologies, I didn't know it was you. I just--...acted on reflex. Are- are you hurt?" they finally said
They tried to approach me but I stopped them by putting my free hand up in the air. It wasn't because I didn't want them to help me, it was because I was scared of showing weakness to them.
"no... no I am fine." my breathing was becoming normal again and I stood up straight and tried to seem more mad about the situation than surprised and confused.
"forgive me, Alatus. I am just- exhausted.."
All my will to be agitated at them melted away at those few words "I forgive you, I know you have been feeling fatigued lately. You should really get some rest." I sighed and crossed my arms to be at least a little more composed than before.
