TRIGGER WARNING: Blood, fighting and cursing.
Your POV:
I didn't even bother to go after the humans, even though they acted like I was full-on chasing them. They were overreacting in my opinion. Flailing their hands above their heads while screaming 'help!'. I wonder why they got so scared? When I wear my human clothes, change my hair and personality, no one bats an eye but when I'm wearing Adepti clothing and a mask, everybody runs horrified away. I don't get it.
But maybe I should look on the bright side, if I'm really that terrifying, maybe I could use it to my advantage? Monsters usually don't show fear but if I was fighting a human.. maybe just maybe-
My thoughts were cut of by a certain aura I had been tracking down for days. I was first surprised that he had come to me but then it all made sense.
Those fucking mortals had snitched. Probably thought I was a demon and now they had sent the Yaksha after me.
Damn it.

Alatus/Xiao POV:
I had just teleported out in front of Wangshu Inn and I was looking for the demon. I went a little farther away from the Inn and then I sensed it, that weirdly familiar aura. I walked out from a tree and saw it. Looked like it was doing something I don't know what because it was facing the opposite direction of me so I couldn't see it's face. I saw It held a- a Yaksha mask!? It looked like mine the horns were just sharper and straight. The horns didn't have a slight curve like mine. There was a light-blue gem in the middle of the mask formed like a round circle. I also noticed blue patterns on the mask. I looked closer and saw that there was a crack in the mask. Wonder what that's from? And where did a demon even get an Adeptus mask? I felt like I had seen that mask somewhere before.
I snuck closer to it and raised my polearm but once again it could sense my presence even though I tried to conceal it. It quickly put on the mask and turned around and averted my attack my putting their sword between my polearm and itself. I actually wasn't really sure if it was an 'it' anymore it looked so humanoid that it would almost be better if I called it 'them' instead. Wait. What am I thinking? Don't feel bad for calling a demon an 'it', that's ridiculous. I pressed harder against the demon but they overpowered me and fended me off. I stumbled back a few steps. Looks like this wasn't just some backwater demon..
They came running at me but I wasn't going to let a monster beat me. I had just enough energy to teleport behind them. I smashed the end of my spear into their back and they let out a surprised grunt.
"Ack..!"
They then whipped around and swung their sword at me. I couldn't react in time and they knocked my polearm out of my hands. Damn. Now they had the upper hand. I dashed over to them and they decided to go into defense, I could easily pry through it though, their defense was weak. Now it was my turn to knock a weapon out of someone's hands. With both of us weaponless we had to do hand-to-hand combat. Not quite my forte but I could manage.
I was going for a punch right to their face put they dodged it. They pulled on my arm and dragged me closer. I was confused for a moment but then it made sense when they suddenly put force into it and threw me down onto the ground. That hurt. I cried out in pain. I felt a sharp pain forming on my arm, a bruise. You're gonna pay for that demon.
I got up as fast as I could and when I did they were already charging at me. They tried to hit me but this time I dodged it. I reeled them in by grabbing their wrist and then I closed my hand around their throat, then I slammed then into the ground. Payback. Looks like I got them good, they were choking on air and having trouble getting their breathing back to normal. I positioned myself on top of them. I held their hands securely over their head. They were trying to escape so with my free hand I gripped their side, I don't know what had happened but they winced and let out a small grunt. Had I touched something? I let go and looked and my hand and saw blood. Black blood. Wait-
My thoughts were cut off by a knee right to my stomach. I felt all the air leave my lungs and unintentionally I loosened my grip. They pushed me over and thrusted me into the ground. There were black spots forming in my vision and I groaned in pain. The demon flipped them selves over and on top of me, they put their hand around my neck and put pressure on, I couldn't think straight. With their free hand they pinned both of mine to the ground. I felt cold air on my body and realized that it was coming from the demon. Their breath was now visible and cold, just like in the rumors. It sent shivers down my spine. They chuckled evilly.
"Now let's see who's under that mask.." They reached down for my mask but I stopped them. I was holding their hand in place right over my face. I had managed to wedge my hand out of their tight grip and was now holding their hand in place. With force I flipped them over and got away. I stood up while they were still recovering. I was now standing over them and raised my hand and balled it into a fist. But when I went for a punch they rolled to the side and I instead punched the ground. I growled. They got up and I tried to hit them again but I missed and they pulled me by my hair "Ah..!" I let out a surprised groan just before they pummeled me into the ground. Now they tried to punch me while I was laying down. I stopped their attack by blocking it with my hand. I then rolled out of the way, got up and went straight for them. They braced for a hit but I used my elemental skill instead and passed right through them. "Tch." I heard them scoff while I was going for my polearm. When I picked it up I wasted no time. I had to end this.
They didn't react in time, I raised my spear and slashed it downwards at their face.
This was it.
I had won.
Finally.
