If that human made rumors about me, I was gonna have to be even more careful with my behavior. One mistake and my secret would be revealed.
When I got back I noticed that Xiao wasn't there. I suppose he was either running some kind of errand or doing his duty as an Adeptus. It was kind of a good thing that he wasn't there because now I could get a little time to myself. I needed rest and the whole rumor-problem, I could figure out later.
I sat down on the balcony, leaning against the fence and trying to rest. I really wasn't comfortable. Maybe I could borrow Alatus' room for a bit? That sounded reasonable, after all it was only until he came back.
I entered his room and closed the door behind me. Now, where to rest? I could take his bed but wouldn't that be an invasion of privacy? There's also the floor but if I did that I would most likely get cramps when I wake up... what about...his chair? I could sit on the chair while leaning over on the table.
And that's what I did. I sat myself down and leaned on the table. It was actually more comfortable than you would think. I closed my eyes and started to drift off....
Alatus/Xiao POV:
I really didn't want to do this..
But I had to, since I owed Verr a favor.
I was running an errand for Mrs. Goldet. It was quite the tedious job but it had to be done. She had told me that someone had seen a bunch of Hillichurls around Wangshu Inn and Verr Goldet wanted it taken care of. I spotted the Hillichurl-camp in the distance. From far away it looked normal but as I got closer I noticed that the Hillichurls had an eerie and unnatural aura.
The aura was so strong that even a normal mortal would be able to see it. It was black with a hint of a muddy green. The Hillichurls looked fatigued and worn out. Like this immense power was taking a toll on them. All I knew was that this aura definitely didn't belong to them. Someone- or something, had given it to them. Maybe as some sort of twisted experiment? Or was it just to make them suffer? I don't know.
I walked closer to them, normal Hillichurls would have tried to attack me by now but they didn't even look at me. I walked even closer to one of the Hillichurls. This time it had a reaction. It slowly looked up at me and weakly lifted it's hand out to point at something. Something behind me.. I looked confused at it and tried to say something to it but before I could do so I was knocked out cold.
What?

Your POV:
I woke up. I shifted my weight in the seat I was sitting in and fluttered my eyes open. I looked at my surroundings and saw all Alatus' belongings. Oh yeah, I was in Xiao's room. I silently got up and opened the window.
What?
It was dark outside, the stars shining on the dark blue sky. I saw the moon and felt the cold night air brush against my skin. How could I loose track of time this badly!? When I had went here to rest it was still in the middle of the day.
Wait.
If I had been sleeping here for that long.. without having been woken up... then-
Where's Alatus!?

I stormed out his room and onto the balcony. I whipped my head around in all possible directions to hopefully see a glimpse of him. Nothing. Nothing!? Where could he be? There was no way that some task could take that long?
Okay, calm down. It's probably not as bad as you think. Why not ask Verr Goldet? She would definitely know something right?
I almost jumped down the stairs to get to her desk. As I expected she was there. She looked surprised of my entry and said:
"Oh, it's you! Can I help?"
I decided to get straight to the point.
"Where's Al- Xiao?"
"Xiao? I sent him on an errand hours ago but he still hasn't returned... I'm starting to get a bit worried.."
"What did you ask him to do?"
"Oh, it was just a few bothersome Hillichurls I needed taking care of."
"..Hillichurls..? Oh.. those."
"Yes exactly, the ones with the masks."
"..And where are those Hillichurls right now?"
"They should be a bit north from Wangshu Inn."
I didn't answer her I just immediately left. I was going north.
To find Alatus.
