The Chasm? It looked so different. Everything run down and old. Rotten. Broken. Destroyed. Was Alatus here? What was he doing here? I don't get it. He was sent out to kill Hillichurls, not wandering around in the Chasm. 

I sighed. I guess I'll have to find him. 

I wandered down to the opening of the Chasm. It was dark and probably dangerous down there. For you Alatus, for you. 

"...You better be grateful for this..." I whispered and jumped down into the pit.

I landed on some kind of old bridge. I looked down and saw that the Chasm was even deeper. I looked around for an easier way down and my eyes landed on a weird platform going up and down. What did Xiao say it was called again..? Right, an elevator. 

I took the elevator down. There were actually quite a few Treasure Hoarders down here. I'm not sure why a mere human would want to be here. I quickly passed by them and went even deeper into the Chasm.

After running around for what seemed like hours I finally reached the bottom of the Chasm. This area of the massive cave looked odd. There was a big pillar in the middle of it all and spikes made out of rock reaching out for it. This pillar seemed important so I got closer.

I walked under it and felt ancient power radiating from it. I reached out for the pillar to touch it. 

That was a mistake. 

The ground under me started crumbling and falling apart. I widened my eyes. Soon enough I had nothing to stand on. 

I fell.
