([A/N] = Adeptus Title) ([A/N] = Adeptus Name) ([Y/N] = Your Name)

Alatus/Xiao POV:

"...I forgive you."

.

.

.

.

Those words. Those words were exactly what I had been waiting for. Waiting for somebody to say them to me.

Especially [Y/N].

I looked up at them with wide eyes. Their expression was peaceful. I didn't know what to reply. What should I say? 'Thank you'? 'Really'? I wasn't sure and before I could think too much about it [A/N] pulled me towards them into an embrace. I just stood there. No one had ever done this to me. What was I supposed to do? My rationality said to pull away but for some reason I...didn't. I did the complete opposite, I returned it. I had seen humans doing this so I just copied what they had done. It felt... relieving?

When [A/N] let go, they gave me a little smile but that smile turned into a frown. Their eyes were focused on a specific part of my face. They lifted their hand and brushed their fingers over my cheek. I winced, right, I had been so worried about where [Y/N] had been that I completely forgot about the little flesh wound on my cheek.

"You're hurt. Why?"

"I was out fighting demons while you were resting."

"In this state?" they were gesturing to all the bruises and minor injuries I had. They looked disappointed in me. "You should take better care of your body... follow me." I obeyed. They lead me into my room and searched in my drawer for something. They fished a med kit out. Then they took a chair and placed it in front of me. "Sit." again I did as told and sat down. They inspected my body and I have to admit I was starting to feel more self-conscious. It sounds stupid coming from me.

Then they opened the med kit and took scissors, bandages and a towel. [A/N] took a hold of my arm and started to tend to it. Their hands were surprisingly cool, I could feel the cold even through their gloves.

[Y/N] walked back to the med kit and this time took a bottle with a liquid inside. They walked back to me and crouched down. They took off their gloves and opened the bottle. [Y/N] poured a little bit of the liquid on the towel and said "Brace yourself..." they then grabbed my arm and put the towel on my wound. I hissed in pain. It was a stinging feeling as they continued to rub the towel over my wound. [A/N] removed the towel and started wrapping bandages around my arm.

"You're doing good, I'm almost done." they praised.

They circled around me again to check for more wounds. Looks like the found one because they got closer.

"Can you lift up your shirt?"

"What?"

"Lift your shirt up." I did and it revealed a wound on my waist. They reached out to touch it but I flinched at their touch. It wasn't really because it hurt, it was more of an instinct because a persons waist is a weak spot and I also wasn't exactly used to someone touching me all over the place. It also didn't help that, that 'someone' was [A/N].

"I'm sorry I should have asked first."

"..i-it's fine." They looked at me for a second to make sure I was ready this time. Then they grabbed the bottle and the towel again and put the liquid on the towel. As soon as they put the towel on my injury they also clasped a hand over my mouth right before I groaned loudly in pain but because of their hand it was muffled and therefore not as loud. I think they knew I was going to be noisy and they didn't want the mortals to hear us. [A/N] started wrapping the bandages around me again. They then finally removed their hand from my mouth.

"There, finished." they said and helped me up from the chair.

"Thank you."

"No problem, I'll always help you out if you need it." they said while putting their gloves back on and placing the med kit back to where it came from.

I have missed you so much [Y/N].

But you'll never know that.
