Your POV:
I decided to take a look around Wangshu Inn, after all this was my first time here. Since I wanted as little contact with humans as possible I took the old and run-down stairs instead of the weird square-thing going up and down with humans.
I was mildly surprised with how bad the stairs were. In some places there were holes, in others the wood it was made out of was rotting and if you stepped on it your foot would just fall right through. If I'm being honest it was pretty unsafe even for me, I mean there was a long way down and if you made one wrong move you would pretty much just plunge into your inevitable death.
As I progressed further down, the stairs got better in quality. The mold was getting less visible and the holes were getting smaller. I was so focused on not accidentally stepping on a rotten plank that I didn't hear the people around the corner. When I turned the corner I saw something I did not expect to see. It was two girls. Kissing. A human thing I guess.
They weren't close but they weren't exactly far away. They luckily didn't notice me. I didn't really know how to feel about the situation. I should probably feel embarrassed because I walked in on them. The kissing quickly turned into making out. They looked like they were enjoying themselves? I had heard and seen kissing before but never really thought too much about it. It's called romance right? People say it's like friendship but stronger and more intimate. I kind of get that, even though I've never been in a relationship, let alone having kissed anyone.
Maybe I should try it?

I had left the two girls to themselves and I was now down at the bottom of Wangshu Inn. I saw a sign in front of me, it said 'restaurant this way:' with an arrow pointing towards the eating mortals. So it was a restaurant huh? I looked at a table where four people were ordering their food until I felt a hand on my wrist yank me backwards.
"What do you think you're doing!?" A hushed voice said. I looked at the person and saw that it was Alatus.
"You can't just waltz around the place like you own it! People will get frightened of you." He whisper yelled.
"I wasn't-" I was cut off by him.
"Oh, spare me from the speech, come on, we're going back to my balcony." after all these years I see he still has his sharp tongue.
He teleported us to the balcony I had just been on about 15 minutes prior. Alatus sighed. He looked distressed but I didn't know why. He loosened the grip on my wrist and instead slid his hand down to mine so that he could hold it.
"I-I'm sorry.." He avoided my gaze.
"For what?"
"For everything."
I weakly smiled at him. I knew what he was thinking. He was blaming himself. With my free hand I took a hold of his other hand and shifted it so that I could intertwine our fingers. Morax had told me that it helped when comforting someone.
Xiao looked confused at my action.
"I'm sorry too."
"What? No- you didn't do anything wrong."
"Oh I'm sure I did. Otherwise you wouldn't be this upset right now."
"I-It's not you.."
"Do not lie to me." My eyes went cold but then softened a moment after.
"No.. you misunderstand. It really isn't you. It's about you but the problem is me."
"Hm?"
"Just- Just accept my apology and be done with it."
"...I forgive you."
