Nico Di Angelo sat at the kitchen counter, watching his boyfriend dance around the kitchen as he cooked.

Will Solace had a "Kiss The Cook" apron and hummed with the music that was playing loudly on the radio. The apron was originally a gift to Nico, but Nico rarely used it when he cooked, so Will used it most often.

Nico tried to hold in a laugh when Will tied his bangs into a tiny ponytail on the top of his head.

Will noticed and tried to defend himself. "My hair is in my eyes! I need a haircut!"

"No, you look cute!" Nico insisted, grinning.

"You're making fun of me!"

"I am not!"

Will stuck his tongue out and continued his work at the stove.

He used his socks to slide to the other side of the kitchen and to the cabinet to grab more spices. He shook his hips to the rhythm of the music.

Nico just stared in adoration. This is the person he wants to spend the rest of his life with.

"Love you!" He shouted over the loud music.

"Love you too!" Will yelled back, grabbing a whisk to sing into. He turned back once again and resumed his cooking.

Nico laughed and paused for a second. "Marry me?"

"Young and sweet, only seventeen! Dancing queen, feel the beat of the tambourine! Oooh yeah~"

"Will!"

Will glanced up at his name.

Nico pointed to his boyfriend, then to himself, then joined his hands together at the tips, like his two hands were kissing.

He tried to indicate the kiss at the end of a wedding ceremony, but Will clearly didn't get the message. Will's interpretation of it was "you, me, kiss!", so he blew a kiss back to Nico.

Oh my gods...

"William!"

"What? I'll kiss you in a second. Let me get the casserole in the oven, first."

"No! Not that!"

"Huh?" Will pointed to the radio, then to his ears.

"I want you to marry me!"

The music was too loud to hear the whole sentence, so what Will heard was: "I want...to...me!"

He stepped to the radio to turn the music down. "What are you saying?"

Nico sighed and stood up. He walked to their room and grabbed the ring box from where he had hidden it. He walked back to the kitchen, where Will was standing, waiting.

Nico flicked the box open, not even bothering to get down on his knee. He placed it on the counter and pointed to it.

Will stared at the small box.

"Marry me! Babe, please-" Nico cleared his throat, remembering what he was supposed to say as he finally sank to his knees. "William Andrew Solace-"

"Yes."

"You didn't let me finish."

"Ok, ok. I'm sorry." Will shoved his hands in the apron pockets. "Continue."

"Thank you." Nico grabbed the box from off the counter. "I love you."

"I love you too."

"Stop interrupting."

"Sorry, I'm nervous. I've never been proposed to before."

"I've never proposed before." Nico shook his head. "Ok. Anyway, will you marry me?"

"Of course I'll marry you."

"Good, because I didn't really have a backup plan."

"Come on, stand up and kiss me already." Will extended his hand to pull Nico up.

"I had a whole thing planned, but then I realised that I wanted to marry you as soon as possible-"

"Just kiss me."

"Ok...fiancé."

"Fiancé? Oh, I like the sound of that."

"Then put the ring on."

"Kiss me first." Will puckered his lips and made a kissing sound.

"If I start, you know I won't be able to stop."

"That's the idea." Will pulled Nico closer.

"Can you please put the ring on?"

"Fine. Then can we kiss?"

"As much as my future husband wants."

Will turned bright red. "Future husband. We're going to get married, Nico!" He grabbed Nico's face and pulled him into a kiss.

"Mmmyes." Nico muttered against his lips. "You're squishing me."

Will moved his hands to rest on Nico's waist.

Nico, with his eyes closed, tried to grab the ring out of the box and find Will's left ring finger.

Will lifted his left hand and helped blindly guide the ring onto the correct finger while simultaneously deepening the kiss.

"Now we're officially engaged."

"Mmmyeah." Will tangled his fingers in Nico's hair and pulled his face even closer.

"You're going to forget about dinner if you keep kissing me like this, fiancé."

"Screw the casserole."
