"Will, she doesn't need another pair of fuzzy socks." Nico sighed and looked at his daughter. "She's going to overheat."

"I don't want her getting sick!" Will said defensively, wrapping a third scarf around his daughter's neck. "It's cold outside!"

"She looks like a marshmallow."

"A warm marshmallow, Nico."

"We're only going outside for a little bit! This is her first real snow."

"Which means she's not ready for the cold!"

Nico brushed the thick black hair on Bianca's head down from where it curled at her ears, like baby bat wings. "What do you think, my love?"

"She can't talk, Neeks. She's barely one."

Bianca looked back and forth between her fathers. "Baba!"

"See? She agreed with me." Nico kissed her on the head.

"That doesn't count. She knows two words."

"Dada!" Bianca smiled.

Will caved in. "Fine, but I want to give her at least a hat."

Nico agreed and went to put his boots on.

Will grinned and slipped tiny wool mittens onto Bianca's little hands, as well as tied the laces on her boots. He put a hat on top of her head, as well as lifted the hood on her jacket up. He stepped back to admire his work. "There we go. All nice and warm."

Will scooped her up and carried her over to where Nico was putting on his jacket. "All ready for you, Neeks."

"Good. Let me just grab my hat and- how do you say it in English? Guanti?" Nico flexed his fingers and turned around to face his family. He groaned. "William!"

Will put Bianca on the floor next to his husband. "What?"

"Miei dei! She can't even put her arms down!" Nico looked down at his daughter.

Bianca stood on the doormat, her arms so puffy in her jacket she couldn't move them. She looked up at the conversation. "Baba!"

"See? She's fine! Just go outside so I can start making hot chocolate." Will shivered, hating the cold.

"Fine, fine. No use arguing with you." Nico waved his hands. He snapped his fingers with realization. "Gloves! They're called gloves."

He tucked said gloves in his pocket and grabbed Bianca by a strap on the back of her jacket. "Let's go."

"Don't hold her like luggage!"

"I'm not!" Nico rested her on his hip. "See? I was just picking her up."

Bianca laughed.

"She loves it."

"She just loves you." Will kissed his husband on the cheek. "And so do I. So don't get frostbite or else I'll be mad at you two."

"Yes, William." Nico unlocked the door and stepped outside. "Now, human marshmallow and I have snow to see."

A gust of cold air blew into their home, sending goosebumps across Will's bare arms. He was clad in only his pajamas and slippers. "Ay! Close the door! You'll let the heat out!"
