Jophiel
All our eyes zeroed in on Luciana as she entered the makeshift holding room of my cousin Lia. She looked tensed and mortified as she saw how my cousin was bound to the chair with her. She gasped and her hand flew to her mouth covering it as her lips parted wide, her eyes scanned my cousin and tears began flowing from her eyes.
My breath hitched in my chest, I do not like seeing tears cascading down her cheeks but I had to see if I'm playing my cards well because no matter how compatible we are under the sheets, it will never change the fact that this war I have with Senator Delos Santos is still intact and on-going.
Luciana scooted down in front of her and tapped my cousin's cheek. Unknowing her that this is all planned. That this is all the test of her loyalty. That this is a test to check whether I'm able to penetrate her mind.
I smirked at that thought because I did.
She would have grabbed that opportunity if she was not slowly sinking into the palm of my hand.
My smirk widened.
I would kill to see Senator Delos Santos' face once she knows that her favorite daughter's mind, body, and soul are mine now.
"I'm sorry...I'm so sorry." She cried as my cousin continued to fake her slumber. "But I can't let you kill my husband."
My heart leaped at what she said.
That's right, baby.
She lingered a bit looking at the state of my cousin before retreating from the room and softly closing the door before walking back to our room at the end of the hallway.
My eyes followed Luciana through the CCTV as she walks out of the room. I picked up the transceiver with eyes still glued on the scene as my cousin untangled herself from the ropes that were loosely tied behind her back.
Lia faced the CCTV camera in the room and raised her middle finger. "You are so fucked up Jophiel! If I wasn't wearing a fucking bulletproof underneath my shirt I would've been six feet under by now!" Sigaw niya.
I pressed a button so that she could hear me talk. "I didn't know she would shoot anyone, I expected her to go along the charade," I answered. I thought that she would take that opportunity to run...but she didn't.
I sucked in a breath as I yet again felt that erratic beating of my heart. For the second time, Luciana chose me.
She chose me.
"Bumalik na kayo sa pwesto niyo." I ordered the two men who Luciana expects to be guarding the supposed to be assassin that her father sent out. My eyes shifted toward the CCTV screen that records the two men walking toward my cousin's room and as if on cue my cousin opened the door and held out her hand. She said something to one of the men, I guess she asked for the transceiver because the man looked up to the CCTV first as if asking my permission to either give it or not. I pushed the CCTV button twice making it blink, affirming him that he can hand it over to her.
