I woke up alone in our bed again. This has been my new normal. Naiintindihan 'ko naman. Nakapagusap na kami ilang araw ng lumipas. He's very busy finding his loved ones. Ngayon hindi nalang kapatid niya ang nawawala pati na din si Georgina. 

The hardest pill to swallow these past few days is that it's all caused by papa. Walang ibang pwedeng sisihin kung di ang taong nagpalaki sa akin. Ang taong tinuring 'kong ama. 

I feel ashamed for rigidly painting Jophiel as the bad person when clearly it was the other way around. Jophiel isn't perfect, I know his business deals with criminals but the fact is my father is one of them. He's also a criminal, a wolf dressed as a lamb. 

Does mama know?

If she does...then how could she live with him? How could she be okay with the dreadful thing that papa has done?.

I got up and arranged the bed before heading to the shower for a quick bath. Napatigil ako sa full length mirror. I turned my body sideways and looked at my abdomen. There's a small bump but it's barely noticeable. I lightly caress it. 

This baby was given to us in an untimely situation but I am still grateful. This baby is made out of our love. This baby will be the embodiment of our union. 

Nagmadali na akong maligo at magbihis and in no time I was down stairs munching on my breakfast. Since we got back I preferred eating at the pavilion overlooking the sea. It's peaceful our there. All I can see is the bright blue sky, the calm sea and the swaying of the leaves as the wind blows. 

My own little paradise. 

"Ma'am si Helga po rumarampa na naman dito sa isla." Ani ni Mariel. Isa siya sa mga mas nakababatang katulong dito. She always serve my food and makwento siya kaya't naaliw din ako. "Wala na talagang kadala-dala 'yon. Pinaalis na nga ni sir. Rinig 'ko kay nagpumilit daw sumakay ng yate para makabalik dito sa isla." Patuloy niya halata ang iritasyon sa boses. 

"Anong ginagawa niya dito?" Tipid na tanong 'ko bago isinubo ang pancake na may chocolate syrup. 

Nagkibit balikat siya. "Mamaya po ichichismis 'ko sayo narinig 'ko lang po habang hinahanda young pancake." Ani niya at putloy na marahang nagpapaypay sa akin. 

"No need, Mariel." I calmly said before munching another piece of pancake. "Ako na mismo magtatanong sakanya." 

"Ay! Tama 'yan ma'am! Dapat palaban ikaw kaya ang legal wife." gatong niya pa sa akin. "ma'am kung kailangan mo ng back up andito lang ako!." 

I chuckled lightly before drinking my orange juice. "Ginawa mo naman akong basagulera." I pushed my plate and stood up. 

"Busog na po kayo ma'am? Baka magalit si sir kaunti lang po kinain niyo. Umaasin nanaman po ba tiyan niyo?" Sunod sunod na tanong niya. I smiled at her and shook my head. It's just one of those days na wala lang talaga akong gana. 

"Ang sir mo?" 

"Nasa study po." 

I nodded and head straight toward my husband's study. 

The door was left ajar and I couldn't help myself but to take a peek at what's going on.

"I was so scared that something might have happened to you!" ani ni Helga.
