Chapter Thirty-Seven: Taking You Home

Hello guys! as I said I'll try to upload more frequently because I aim to finish this book before this year ends. Also, I'm already announcing that after this book is finished I will be selling a PDF copy of this book with 2 extra chapters. PDF version will be an edited version so there are some scenes that will be added depending on how I think a certain scene will improve the book wholistically wise. Once this book is finished, I will accept pre-orders. The book (PDF version) will cost 300php. The pre-order will start around the end of December and the release of the PDF version will be in the Third week of January. I placed both my hands on the shower wall as I let myself relax while the hot water ran down from my head to the rest of my body. I didn't move just yet, my muscles ached from all the sleepless nights that I had for the past week. I used one hand to swipe my wet hair away from my eyes and wiped off the water beads that dampened my face. My eyes traveled toward the gold band around my ring finger and used my thumb to lightly roll it around. 

I closed my eyes again feeling the ache of my muscle subside a little as the hot water continued to flow. There are just so many things that need his attention that he didn't have that much time for Luciana. 

God damn. 

Kaya siguro nagtatampo ngayon. 

As much as I want to spend all my time with her ngayon pa nagpatong-patong ang mga gawain. There are tons of shipments that needs my supervising dahil malaking kontrata ito. The shipments will be coming from Europe. It is specially harder to transport weapons and ammunitions right now, especially ay di makakadaan ng Russia ang mga shipments at kailangan pang umikot pababa ng Africa papuntang Asya, madaming pirata sa dadaanang ruta ngayon. Hindi lang 'yon, the location of my biological sister is also what was taking up my time. Natunton na ang umampon sa kanya and at posibleng lugar kung saan siya dinala nito. 

I sighed. 

Every damn time that I feel like there was progress on finding my sister, I would always hit a dead end. Yes, I know the people who got her from the orphanage but the little hope of finding my sister dried up when their death certificate came up. Matagal na silang patay. Ayon sa private investigator, the couple who adopted my sister were just the middlemen. Ilang bata na ang inaampon nila at ibinebenta sa underground illegal human traffic sites. 

My heart clenched at that thought. 

My hand fisted my hair out of frustrations. 'Di ko mapigilang sisihin ang sarili 'ko. Kung siguro nagsikap lang ako lalo, kung siguro dinoble ko trabaho 'ko noong mga panahon na 'yon, kung naalagaan 'ko lang ng mabuti ang kapatid 'ko...she wouldn't be sold like a fucking meat to god knows who!.

If my father was half the man that he promised my mom that he is,  hindi sana nagkadaleche-leche ang lahat. But just one glance from my wife tila lahat ng galit 'ko ay nalulusaw. She's the sunshine to all this darkness, that once in my fucking life I was able to grasp something so pure and absolutely downright good. I know our situation. Kita ko sa mga mata niya kung paanong nahahati siya because even if she isn't vocal about it, alam 'kong may nararamdaman siya para sa akin.
