I was back again but this time I was overlooking what had happened.
Here in the same place where the wind was blowing hard, where the grass dusting the ground was swaying side to side, where the clouds were starting to get dark and the thunder rumbling in the distant skies signaling that rain was about to pour.
...and pour it did.
It was like I was in some sort of time capsule whenever I close my eyes and sleep starts to consume me then I always go back to this place.
The cliff.
The scene replays like a broken compact disk stuck in the same old song. There were a few droplets of rain that was showering over two parked white vans that were parallel to each other. I looked down below and saw the waves crashing into the coastline. Tiny sea foams splashed into the rocky shore while violent waves kept small boats away from journeying to the sea.
Suddenly what was a brewing storm came in full pledge. Muds were slowly forming, gumming down the grass with them. Some of the less sturdy trees are bending and the leaves were almost being blown away by the strong wind. The small droplets of rain sprinkling before became a downpour of a heavy shower.
Then everything stopped.
It seems like time slowed down.
The white van parked to the right opened and a blindfolded woman was dragged out of the vehicle. Her hands were tied on her back while her lips were covered with black cloth that she was biting into.
Then I saw myself coming out of our van, I was holding Victoria with one hand while I had a gun to her forehead in my other.
I saw myself swallowing a lump down my throat as I scan all the injuries Georgina sustained. She had bruises all over her. The side of her lips was a bit green indicating that a recent blow to her cheeks ensue.
The exchange of captives happened. Georgina ran to me, immediately hugging me tight when she reached my open arms.
But it wasn't the only thing that occurred on that cliff.
"Kuya, I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry!" She sobbed loudly in my chest, her tears soaking my shirt but I didn't care. It didn't matter. I got her. I got my sister. That's all that matters to me.
My chest tightens knowing what was going to happen next. I wanted to go near, I wanted to change the situation but who was I kidding?.
"No!" I shouted. "No! No! No!" I repeated hoping that they would hear me but it felt like I was reliving a moment when I couldn't do anything to change the course of the outcome. "Get back in the car Georgina!" I tried shouting again but the whole scene kept playing like it was a fucking movie!. "Georgina! get back in the fucking car-"
Then suddenly I wasn't on the hill anymore.
I was back inside my body.
I felt my blood drain away from my body. I staggered back feeling a heavy pressure wrap itself around my chest as my heart sank.
