~ Present Day ~
"Hey, stranger". The sound of Sebastian's voice catches Cassie off guard as she exited the elevator of her office. "Hmm what are you doing here?" She asks, as she looked around wondering if he was here alone or was maybe about to meet someone. "I was waiting for you actually. I was just about to go upstairs." He says, smiling from cheek to cheek. it was obvious that Sebastian was extremely infatuated with Cassie.
Cassie couldn't deny the fact that deep down, she was attracted to Sebastian as well and the fact that he was a genuinely nice guy, she found it hard to dislike him. "O-kay, well you found me. What's up?" She asks as she began walking to another lift that would take her to the car park. Sebastian was slightly taken off guard as he tried to keep up with her. She walked over to the elevator and pressed the button waiting for the lift to open. "What are you doing tomorrow night?" Sebastian asked her as he grabbed the files she held in her arms, as well as lifted the laptop bag from off her shoulders and carried it on his. She did not stop him mostly as she was a little stunned by how swiftly he did it. "What are you doing?" She asks as the elevator door opened and he waited for her and 4 other people to go in before he did. She looked at him and rolled her eyes as she stood in the corner.
"I want to take you out tomorrow night." He says softly as he stands next to her in the now slightly crowded elevator. "I don't think so. I'm very busy Sebastian and I already told you I'm not interested." She whispers. He looks at her and then proceeded to glance around the lift. He then taps a brunet-haired middle-aged woman in front of him. She turns to look at him and he asked her "Ma'am, would you like to meet LeBron James tomorrow? You know LeBron right?" He asked her as Cassie's jaw dropped. "Of course I do! he's great." She says with enthusiasm.
"Okay great because I was under the impression that she was a fan of his and was going to take her to see him tomorrow but turns out she's too busy and isn't interested so I guess I'll come and pick you up tomorrow around 8?" He says loudly referring to Cassie as Cassie just stood there in shock and not knowing what to say. She was not expecting this at all.
"What! You're too busy to meet LeBron James?" The lady asked her. Cassie looked at the lady and gave her an annoyed look as the elevator doors opened and Cassie walked out. "I'm sorry Ma'am. I was just joking." Sebastian tells the lady as he runs out of the elevator to catch up with Cassie. "Do you really?" She asks him as she stops in her tracks and looks up at him. "Do I really what?" He asks pretending not to know what she was referring to. She folds her arms and looks at him. "Oh, you're referring to LeBron." He teases. "Sebastian, this is a very bad joke to pull on someone if you're just messing with me." She whines. Cassie has been a fan of LeBron for a very long time and knowing that she really did stand a chance to meet him would mean the world to her. But she wasn't sure if Sebastian was using this to bait her to go out with him.
"Well, I'm not messing with you. I saw how disappointed you were when you didn't get to meet him the other day and so I called in a favor. They told me he would be training tomorrow night and we can go and watch them train and meet him." Sebastian tells her. Cassie did not know how to react to this. The fact that Sebastian would even go out of the way to arrange something like that for her. "Why would you bother to do this? I don't get it?" She asks. Sebastian walks closer to her as he smiles and looks into her eyes. "Well if that was the only way I was going to get to see you again, I think it was worth it." He says.
He walked Cassie over to her car, handing her back her things. "So I'll see you tomorrow night at 8," He says as he shuts her car door for her. Cassie winds down the window and looks up at him. "Thank you, Sebastian." She says as she pulls out of the parking lot. Sebastian stood there very aware that he was whipped. He was whipped by a girl he hardly spent time with but felt like he knew her.
