In London:
"Hey, that was amazing Cassie, you were so compelling!" Michael cheers her on as they directly wrapped the scene.
"Really? You felt that?" She asked in excitement, loving the validation she was getting from an actor as big as Michael B Jordan. "Yea, yea! I don't understand why you even quit acting. You would have really made a big name by now if you stayed on." He says as they walk towards their trailers together.
"Heh, you wouldn't believe it if I told you," She says.
"Well, try me." He says stopping in his track. She laughs nervously and says "okay, maybe sometimes."
"I'm free now, you and I don't have scenes for the next 6 hours. Let's go get something to drink." He says casually. It was their second week of working together and Cassie could tell by Michael's body language and the things he has been saying, he was attracted to her. But she was not in a place where she wanted to date or be with any guy for that matter.
"That sounds nice, but I was hoping to catch up on my... uh.. stuff." She says as she wracked her brain for a proper excuse. "What stuff?" He asked raising an eyebrow. He could tell that she was making up another excuse why not to hang out with him.
"I... uh... I got to go" She says walking into her trailer and shutting the door. She did not know what to say and it was more obvious than ever, that she was avoiding him. Michael stood there confused and surprised by her reaction but was afraid to push it so he let her be.
To not make things seem too weird or make her uncomfortable, he had tried to ask her out a few times in a friendlier context but maybe he was just way too charming that it was still coming off flirtatious he thought to himself. He wasn't sure why Cassie was showing no interest as he remembered clearly he was a celebrity crush of hers, so there is no way she was not attracted to him.
Meanwhile in LA:
Sebastian had managed to get a hold of Cassie's father after finding the hospital he worked at, to see if he would help her figure out where exactly Cassie was and how he could contact her. But to his disappointment, Anthony was not about to corporate with him.
"I think you should let her finish her work and get back. You can talk to her then. She doesn't need the distraction from you right now Sebastian, she's happy and focused on the movie." Anthony said to him.
"When does she get back?" Sebastian asked.
"In 6 months."
"6 months! I can't wait for 6 months. I really need to see her." Sebastian begs.
"Well, then you should have thought about that when you left her here heartbroken for a whole month," Anthony said.
Sebastian knew Anthony was right. He had left it for too long. He should have called her sooner no matter how upset he was, he thought he was done with her and what she did was so big he couldn't be with her. But not being with her was worse, not hearing her whine about stupid things and laugh at his lame jokes, not hearing all her funny stories, and having her there as his right-hand woman when he needed affirming or a second opinion, was worse.
Was she happier without him? He thought to himself. She did not look happy when he saw her at the hotel that day, that image seems to still haunt him. He hated that Cassie was not one to have social media so he couldn't even tell where she was or how she was doing.
Back in London:
"What exactly is your game here Rowan?" Michael asked as they walked over to the set.
"What are you talking about?" Cassie asks.
"So you tell me that I'm your celebrity crush and you got all excited when you met me, and then I'm clearly showing an interest in you and you completely blow me off."
"I'm not blowing you off." She says.
"Okay, then go out with me." He says as he comes to a halt.
"I just got out of a relationship Michael, and I am not in a ready-to-date type of place."
"Your relationship ended 2 months ago and you said you guys were only together for like what? 3 months." He asks.
"It's not that easy," she says looking down in sadness.
"It's not easy 'cause you've not tried. Let me take you to dinner tomorrow night. We have the night off. We can take things slow. I don't want to rush you but, I really like you and I know you're a catch so I'm not going to wait around, and the next thing I know you're dating someone else." He says in all honesty.
"Oh wow!" She exclaims, slightly surprised by his admission and determination to date her. Lucky for him it was a slight turn-on for Cassie.
"Yup!" He owned everything he said
"Are we going to be one of those people who date in the movie and also in real life?" She asks as she laughed.
"We could be." He says, winking at her.

In LA:
"Sebastian! You won't believe what I found." Katie his assistant screams in excitement as she burst into his office. Sebastian was taken by surprise at her action that he had no words just a frown as he look at her.
"Look what I found." She says handing him her phone which was opened to an Instagram post of an article from E News showing Cassie and a few other actors on a movie set. The caption read that she was shooting the movie in London with the director Paul Thomas Anderson, who was a friend of Sebastian's as he helped him with a case before. Cassie had met Paul at Sebastian's party.
"Do you want me to call him for you?" Katie asked smiling widely.
Part of Sebastian wanted to jump up and down in joy but instead, he just said "No, I'll call him. book me a flight to London tonight and cancel all my meetings. I'll let my sister know."
"On it!" Katie says taking her phone and leaving.
Sebastian was finally going to get to see Cassie and he did not need to wait another 5 more months.
