Entry #4 - Our First Date

It took me forever to get ready that night. Did I ever tell you that Harry? God it might have only been about, what 20 minutes or so really but it felt like forever picking out the right outfit for that date...

Yeah, felt like forever, but it was probably about 24 minutes in the end, getting ready to start the beginning of us...

The First Date

24 Minutes. A whole lot can happen in 24 minutes.

It took me about that long to pick out the right dress for our date tonight.

It was the approximate run time of the movie previews before our feature film at the cinema that Harry rented out for us. We spent each of the 24 minutes tossing popcorn into one another's mouths and inserting our own voice overs when the audio gave out on the film running above our heads.

And it was the total length of time we lasted into said movie before we were unable to keep our hands off one another. As the film started, showing picturesque shots of beautiful southern rivers, Harry was sure to be sitting up proper with both hands clearly displayed on his knees. I couldn't help but notice the slight rubbing, up and down, he fell into. A nervous tick I've picked up on, his hands get sweaty. Eventually, it was me who leaned over, took his hand and held it in mine. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw his shoulders lower and his breathing grow steady. It didn't take long after that for the touch between us to grow electric.

"Harry, please, I need to catch my breath." I managed to get out as he kissed down my neck, causing shivers to erupt all over me.

"Good, payback then." He answers between kisses.

I gasp for air, "explain." I request.

He pulls away, allowing me to inhale finally after a few minutes of making out like teenagers.

"You take my breath away, always." He starts, breathless. "Since the moment I saw you, you've taken my breath away Adelaide." He tells me earnestly, and it's just the thing I need to hear to send an electric jolt through my spine, allowing me to muster the energy to go for round two.

Instead of cooling down and watching the movie, The Notebook, of course Harry managed to get the cinema to show it just for us, I pull him right back into me ready for another round.

We're all teeth, and lips, and hands on one another - like the rule that kept us apart all these months had been a literal barrier between us that finally vanished. Our seats are the nice new kind that allow you to pull the armrest up so there's nothing between you - allowing Harry to lean forward a bit on to me. I rest back, settling into a comfortable position with him lying atop me.

"Wait, wait, wait." He says as I continue to pepper kisses along his jawline.

"What's wrong now?" I ask him, sounding like a frustrated child.

"This isn't right, you deserve-"

"Harry," I begin, grasping his face between both my hands so our eyes lock on one another, "don't tell me what I deserve - this is what I want, I want you and I think we've both waited long enough."

"Yeah but I wanted to give you like a real date, with all the niceties and I would feel lucky with only getting a kiss from you at the end of the night. I just don't want to give you the wrong-"
