Adelaide Young
Early October 2021"Adelaide! Ms. Young! Please, a comment!" One paparazzi shouts at me.
"Are you two official? Where is Harry now?!" I hear another scream out.
"I need you all to move aside, Ms. Young needs to be able to get by please!" Griffin announces authoritatively.
Good old Griffin, my personal security detail since he handled the visit with my mother so well. He's been all brought up on every detail surrounding my case with Noah, who incidentally is still out free somewhere. No one has been able to locate him for further questioning.
I haven't really reached out to my parents though in case there are any updates.
"Please gentlemen, let the lady get inside!" Griffin shouts, a bit more stern than before.
Photos, of course, were captured of Harry and I on our second date going back to his apartment in London. We had gotten away with it so easily the first time, we just go too comfortable. So now, the circus has begun.
To say that our relationship has been normal, as he so hoped for on that first date, would be such a lie. We've gone from 0 to 100 faster than I had expected but we're just doing what feels right. We've wanted this long enough, seems silly to move slow just for the sake of saying so. I mean, when we weren't dating and I lived with him I lived in my own room. I still live in that room in the London flat, but it's been 2 full weeks since I've slept in that bed. Most of my things have migrated into our now shared master bathroom. We pretty much live together in the complete sense of the term.
Just as I'm getting inside my doctor's office my phone buzzes in my back pocket.
"Hi you." I hear him say when I pick up the phone. Of course it's Harry.
"Hi you." I echo.
"You ok? I'm hearing reports of crazy down there for you."
"Yeah, it was mayhem, not sure how they knew I would be here, or heard at all I was but I'm inside and on my way up now."
"And you're sure you don't want me there? You're feeling better, this is just routine?"
"Harry, as much as I would love to be with you however and wherever, I'm ok. We don't need everyone speculating over why you're here with me now do we. Just name of the game I suppose."
"But you're feeling ok?"
The truth was that I wasn't. Everything had felt off for the last month or so. I've blamed stress and a new relationship. Harry blames everything that WebMD has to offer up when you search, "dizziness, lack of appetite, and nosebleeds." So far, according to "Doctor" Styles I've had a rare form of cancer, a terminal flu, been pregnant, had a bacterial infection, and then a different type of cancer he discovered.
I've officially blocked WebMD from all his devices.
I think Harry is a bit overprotective, understandably. I mean really, the guy met me when I was escaping an abusive boyfriend, I nearly died on tour... honestly why does the guy want to date me again?
"Adelaide?" I hear him, bringing me back to the present.
"Yes, sorry, no I'm still not feeling right, but I'm sure it'll all be explained away easily ok? Please don't try to stress, you're supposed to be recording right now I believe."
"We're taking a break. Needed to step away from a debate over a bridge of a song."
Griffin and I step into the lobby elevator as I ask Harry, "well, you can always run it by me if you wanted?"
