"I'm telling you dad, he got suspended for fighting because someone insulted me!" I say for the 100th time.

I was in the car with my parents, and my dad is mad with me for giving out my number to a 'gangster'.

"Honey, let her explain completely what happened from her point of view." My mom squeezes my dad's shoulder.

"Don't touch me, Caroll." He says cruelly. My mom takes back her hand and rubs it as if she was burned.

"Dad.." I start.

"I don't want to hear about it."

"Fine."

The rest of the car ride is spent in silence.

September the 3rd, 7:12

Dear dad,
This foolish man who is my 'father' is blocking the path to another 'gift'. Austin has been suspended. That's all, since I have been picked up from school early.

I finish the entry and hide the diary. My mom screams. I run downstairs, skipping a few steps. My dad is on the floor, hands to his chest, and my mom on the phone.
"Hello? 9-1-1? My husband is having a heart attack!" She says.
****
I wake up in the hospital room. I look around. My father is on the bed. My mom is sleeping on the other chair, hand in hand. I remember the previous events, where my mom packed a few clothes and essentials before we got on the ambulance. I remember when the doctor said that he had a heart attack that resulted in shock and a coma. My mom had fell down in tears, then later passed out because of hyperventilating. She woke up a few minutes later, and stuck beside my father until now.

All I can hear is my father's monitor. I pull the curtain and see that the hallway is eerily dim. I go out anyways. I make my way in the unknown halls, making a few rights and lefts. I see the main entrance and leave. Once I'm outside, I head to the park for the patients who reside here and head up the gazebo. I lean on the metal bar and take a deep breath.

Breath in, breath out.

My phone vibrates and I check my lock screen.
*one new message* it reads. I unlock and see an unknown number. I read the message and smile. It's from Austin.

' are you a star? Cuz your shining in my eyes.'
I chuckle and answer.

' it's * you're shining. Why are texting me when it's 11? Shouldn't u be sleeping??'

'The question applies to you too.'

'I have a reason. I'm at the hospital.'

He doesn't answer after that. Figures. It didn't really bother me that much, I'd rather be outside alone right now.

I think about Austin. A met him a few days ago, and all I really know about him is that he's really handsome- wait. Control yourself. He's just some guy I know. The least that you can call us is 'friends.' That seems right. Friends.

My thoughts are interupted by a squeeling sound of tires. A small black car drives in. It parks horizontally across two parking spaces. Austin climbs out, and sprints towards me. He climbs the steps and takes me in the tightest squeeze ever. He hugs me and loosens a little to talk, but still holds me.

"Oh, thank goodness, you're fine. What's wrong? Are you okay?" He looks at me, concerned.

"I'm fine, it's just my dad. He had a heart attack and is in a coma. I'm pretty sure that the doctor said he'll wake up in a few months."

He takes me in again, putting he's chin on the top of my head.

"I'm so sorry."

"Don't worry, it's not your fault."

He doesn't answer, but instead hugs me even tighter. My face is squashes into his Chest once more, but I don't want to move. How come this boy suddenly comes in my life? Why?

"Austin?"

He moves our position to look my in the eyes. "Yes?"

"Why are you doing this?"

"What?"

"We've known each other for two days, but you're showing me so much affection and attention for someone who's almost a stranger to you, that it's... just, why?"

"Why am I so affectionate with you?"

"Yeah."

"Well this may seem ridiculous, but a few weeks ago, my mom brought me to this psychic, who told me I'd meet the live of my life in a few weeks. She'd come with a good comeback when I'd drop a pick up line, and sit beside me in one of my classes."

I pulled back from the hug.

"You're doing this cause some future seeing person told you?!" I yelled.

He pulled me back.

"No! I'm doing this cause, my mom once told me;' I know you don't talk to anyone, so promise me when you find the girl that will lighten up and lead your life for the better, you'll act as if you are already married. Don't even act. Instead, treat her like the rarest jem alive, and I promise you, she'll do the same.' " . He stops talking. We hug for a few more minutes before he mutters something unbeliveable.

"And frankly, I - I've fallen in love with you ,aliyah , the moment I met you." He says.

I don't know what to say. I can't tell him I love him too, I still don't know what I feel.

"Will you stay with me? You're suspended, and I don't think I'll be able to go to school since my dad is here, so will you stay with me?" I ask.

He looks at me again. "Forever."

He takes my hand, pulls me to his side, and we walk into the hospital under the moonlight.

This is too much for me. I don't know if you guys are feeling these people as much as me, or if it's just because I'm writing the book. Seems riduculous I know.

I'd really like some critics. Any kind will do, even constructive. But be gentle too.
